Dreamland

Deep inside the forest trail,
a clear mirage helps dreams sail.
Enchanted tree, exposed roots,
forces ego to dilute.

Forbidden to all but few,
concealed from foul tainted views.
Accepts those with will to change,
tender balance in exchange.

Holds pure minds, polishes stains,
clears the poor so nice remains.
Reveries cascade so free,
a display healed eyes can see.

Offers a warm loving home,
with a secure structured dome.
Protects from all outer wrongs,
feeds great peace, makes hearts feel strong.

Carry pictures deep inside,
principles become a guide.
Walk upon fall crunchy leaves,
at last opened to receive.

Sun rays fill from crown to feet,
nature’s music sounds so sweet.
Vibrations flow through the soul,
twinkle kindness and control.

  1. Nice poem!

Your poem actually reminded me of one of Joyce Kilmer’s legendary piece.

“Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.”

  2. Nice take! So natural beauty and equally natural flow of rhyming verses! Well done, Grace πŸ’–πŸ’
