Distress

Strong magnetic words
attached to my mind,
attracting lost tears,
no longer confined
.

I turn them around
but they just repel,
they fall back on me
disarming my shell.

Magnetic energy
with intentions said,
unbalance my senses
then bounce in my head.

Replaying each letter
that form every word,
unstabling spirit,
harsh ego transferred.

Magnetic forces
all come to a halt,
clearing my scarred wounds,
removing the salt.

Enclosing a shield
around my own soul,
sharpening visions,
regaining control.

Unchained

Invisible chains
are hard to remove,
they keep you in place
you can not improve
.

Ambitions on hold,
not hoping too far,
unseen slavery,
familial scar
.

Growing intention
slithers up the spine,
lingered rejections
draw a solid line
.

Fear is the leader
of imprisoned minds,
creating a cage
that make your eyes blind
.

Ignite inner fire,
try hard to resist,
the next generation
will learn to persist
.

A key in your heart
will vanquish the chains,
providing a chance
to remove the pain
.

Hold on to your light,
allow it to guide,
take steps to live free
with strength by your side
.

Self assured

I search outside for sparks of light,
transforming my wrongs into rights.
I give advice along with hugs,
yet deep inside the void still tugs.

My heartstrings play a melody,
touching my mind like symphonies.
The sounds I hear distract my brain,
an endless task to fill with gain.

I talk in silence to my soul,
meeting myself gaining control.
All warm inside, feeling so bright,
with hopes upon a flying kite.

A search for what has now been found,
setting both feet on solid ground
.
Now those I meet have mirrored eyes,
reflecting what I hold inside
.

Chase

Money is an entity
needed for stability.
Vanquishes identities
if wanted fundamentally
.

It becomes ambition pills
while obtaining greater skills.
Weariness surrounds your will,
green eyed monsters shoot to kill
.

People say they want the best,
most can not sit down to rest.
Always filled with new requests,
seeking to find treasure chests
.

Many can become obsessed
with the thought of new progress.
A daydream they live to stress,
uninformed that they are blessed

Blue Boy

Living his life like a dream.
Waiting for his day of luck.
Searching the garbage for food.
Working the streets for a buck
.

His face wears a permanent tear in his eye.
His smile is unsure, mixed with hope and pride
.

Exhausted by living
a life full of torture.
Holds on to his talent,
and soon finds exposure
.

A future so wealthy
it gives him a ride.
It changes his walk
he now learns to stride.
With fame and with fortune
held close to his side,
his confidence risen
no reason to hide
.

He fights to accept what he has in him.
A void and unrest that keeps his heart dim
.

A lesson he gathered
was obviously shown
as money is useful
but not for his throne

Empathy

A piece of me,
I share with you.
You come to me,
when I feel blue
.

I sympathize
,
with what you feel.
You feel for me,
so no big deal
.

Your problems bring

me such unrest.
Unrest now lifted
off my chest
.

Clear off my mind
,
from your affect.
Affects now gone,
cure my heart next
.

I cure your heart
,
easing your mind.
Your mind so pure,
a heart so kind
.

You look away
,
leave tearful eyes.
Eyes meet my glance,
then say good bye
.

Compose myself
not looking back.
Your empathy,
keeps me on track

Assured

Approval is given with just a look,
invisibly measured like reading a book.
Acknowledging smile appears in the eyes,
a wink or a nod may help to decide
.

Approval is given when one does not seek,
acceptance conveying what words can not speak.
Preferential treatment to those without care,
a pretty demeanor will keep people there
.

What is in it for me?, is often asked.
A heart that is pure but mind fully masked.
Fears always keep looming and dancing inside,
exposing all terrors that try hard to hide
.

Approval most given is rarely needed,
try to please them all but most are defeated.
The others are captured, engulfed in their thoughts,
displaying a shell, hoping it is bought
.

Approval once given is thrown in the trash,
grab what is offered then leave in a dash.
Forgiving it all for perceived approval,
erasing all doubts, drowned ego removal
.

Wishes

Never hold a wish too tight,
let it flow to reach new heights.
If it flies too far from sight,
precise timing was not right.

Keep your goals away from ears,
do not share till it is here,
to prevent another’s fears,
from applauding your failed tears.

Allow wants to have a say,
visualize them on most days,
not too much or they may sway,
be consistent so they stay.

Let hopes happen easily,
do not focus eagerly,
if your heart feels peacefully,
they will appear serenely.

It is fine to set dreams free,
let them fly within the breeze,
like the waves out in the sea,
they return if meant to be
.
