Dive

Letters flying
circle quickly,
create new words
that swim swiftly.
Making statements
as they combine,
so I can choose
which ones are mine
.

Words are floating
around my head,
blurry visions
that go unread.
Painting pictures
within my mind.
playing scenes,
scripted inside.

Motioned pictures
rapidly show,
things I never
knew I know.
Opened wise eye,
logic thought blind,
seeing answers
details defined.

Answers arrive
before the questions,
knowing all facts
and intentions.
Helping me find
all keys I seek,
feel vibrations,
in words, I speak
.

Curtains

When life is done, if memories last,
I will hold the good times from my past.
Fond memories, of carried smiles,
euphoric flurries, when laughs ran wild.

Every old road will become slides,
bright carnivals, packed with fun rides,
Possessions owned, now left behind,
for all I worked, I earned my pride.

All lessons learned, fly from their jars,
light up the sky, form shiny stars.
The ugly times will then be buried,
as my soul clears without a worry
.

Until that day, I will live well,
creating tales others can tell.
Open my eyes to read my story,
close them once more, relive the glory.

Candle Light

Light a candle,
then search the flame.
It takes a breath,
I do the same.

The fire dances
a rhythmic sway,
my body moves
in the same way.

The hot wax drips
along each side,
smile as tears drop,
from both my eyes.

Inhale all hope,
the light emits.
Energies guide
and soon transmit.

Clear and pure thoughts
are now evoked,
exhale all pain,
watch as it smokes.

Self Sacrifice

Entangled by an alluring dance,
oblivious to its mute romance.
Entrapped and captured, soon seduced,
by knots so tight, they can’t come loose.

I toss and turn, try hard to sway,
the more I move, the more I stay.
My helpless heart stands still in place,
gives into loss, no will to chase.

But sacrifice is not my name,
refuse to play these worthless games.
Calm all my nerves, search through my mind,
tasting the hope that I soon find.

Open my eyes and come to see,
my captor has always been me.
The ego side, afraid to live,
realizing this, makes all knots give
.
