Warmest Dance

The shiny sun
offers a hand,
entices me
into a dance.

The warmest ray
touches my face,
tattoos my skin
fills me with grace.

A happy tune
plays in the breeze,
moving the leaves
on swaying trees.

As wild winds sweep,
whistle and chime,
form perfect beats
that can stop time.

A stage of grass,
song without words,
just sprinkled rain,
and flapping birds.

The moisture dries
mild hues shine bright,
sun fades away
bringing moonlight.

  1. This poem is calming. Isn’t nature so healing? Fall is my favorite season because that warming sun isn’t overwhelming here in North Carolina, and of course the aesthetic of trees and fall leaves draw me in. This poem makes me want to take a trail walk today. Thanks, Grace of the Sun…

  2. This poem beautifully captures the essence of nature’s dance, depicting the sun as a welcoming partner enticing you into a graceful, rhythmic movement. The imagery of the sun’s warm rays touching your face, leaving a mark of grace, paints a vivid picture of the sun’s gentle caress. The portrayal of the happy tune playing in the breeze, moving the leaves and creating a melody with the swaying trees, evokes a sense of harmony and tranquility.

The description of wild winds sweeping, whistling, and chiming, forming perfect beats that seem to suspend time, adds a layer of intensity to the natural symphony. The imagery of a stage made of grass, a song without words, sprinkled rain, and flapping birds creates a picturesque scene, immersing the reader in the beauty of the moment.

The transition from day to night is depicted elegantly, as the sun fades away, making room for the gentle glow of moonlight. The poem captures the cyclical nature of the day and night, symbolizing the eternal dance of time and nature. Overall, this poem is a delightful celebration of the harmonious relationship between humans and the natural world. Well done!
