Within a glance our hearts aligned,
our paths were crossed, so well designed.
We did not know which way to go,
laid on the street, to set the flow.
So many issues on our plate,
rolled with adventures, held to fate.
We parted ways, just to return,
time spent apart made our souls yearn.
Dream house was built and felt so right,
everyday felt endlessly bright.
Until the day, dark clouds appeared,
manifesting our greatest fears.
Illness soon came to steal our past,
memories made were meant to last.
We took a dive, swam through your mind,
felt clarity trickle behind.
If only for segments of time,
sweethearts in love felt so sublime.
We vowed to never separate,
and kept that promise true to date.
Remembered roller coaster rides,
held divine love close to our sides.
We fell asleep, tightly embraced,
left these worn bodies for pure grace.
