Taste of Life

Life in this place,
is just a play,
an aimless chase,
and endless sway.

Mask on a face,
taking up space,
finding a pace
to win the race.

Eyes fill with grace,
hearts feel displaced,
still interlace
to then erase.

Life in this place,
can feel so gray,
daydreams are glazed,
all goals encased.

Another day
to be defaced,
or to retrace,
change underway.

Warm morning rays,
hopes are displayed,
pure brightness stays,
starting today.

  2. Stunning poem, my friend! The last stanza is super hopeful and optimistic. You’ve beautifully shown us the β€œtaste” of life in recent times.

  3. Beautiful verse, Grace!
    “Mask on a face,

This spoke to me a lot. Your words always create such otherworldly magic, it’s so so good. Loved this ❀❀
