Seasonal Mix

Winter made me feel so warm,
snuggled up to watch snowstorms.
Singing kettles every night,
in strong arms, I cuddled tight.

Spring appeared, to change the scene,
turned the ground into bright green.
Raindrops laid on happy leaves,
all erased by sunny thieves.

Summer approached feeling cold,
parting hearts had lost their hold,
icy drinks filled empty hands,
so fogged heads could understand.

Autumn ignited new starts,
sprung in to brighten pure hearts.
Brightly showered rainbow hues,
light-filled views all became true.

Every climate is perceived,
outer thoughts are interweaved,
inner mirrors that reflect,
all the thoughts minds could project.

  1. Love the contrast with the expected heat of summer and how it “approached feeling cold”. Melancholy middle ending with the rays of hope as the seasons turn. Beautifully penned, Grace! 💞💞💞
