Is it worth it?
Should I quit?
Did the summit
steal my wit?
Just a shell of who I was,
nothing left but smoke and dust.
If I lost
tell me who won
at what cost
finally done
Is a chuckle worth the tears
my depression offers cheer
Go kick rocks,
or lay in bed,
no loud knocks,
hopes gone and dead.
Benefits can open eyes,
try once more to gain surprise.
Win a prize,
exposed within.
Gifts arise,
learn how to win.
Take it one day at a time,
let hearts guide as lessons chime.
– Grace Y. Estevez – Reddy
