Questioning

Who is this person that succumbs?
What made me sacrifice for them?
Where did the darkness surface from?
When did my wisdom become dumb?
Why do I always feel so numb?
How did I form into a crumb?

Who has to struggle everyday?
What made the sky turn heather gray?
Where do sad hearts go to decay?
When did smiles leave and grimace stay?
Why does life have to be this way?
How did all hope just run away?

Who has to turn this life around?
What will it take to make goals sound?
Where can all lost wishes be found?
When will I jump up off the ground?
Why does each thought feel more profound?
How can I force joys to compound?

Who silently stares from your eyes?
What tugs your heart from deep inside?
Where can you find your best ally?
When will you acknowledge your prize?
Why do you see through all disguise?
How do your feelings always rise?

  1. “How can I force joys to compound?” – Naturally this is right up my alley. I love your wording throughout the poem, but this got me where I live. Thanks, Grace!

Wow! This was such a thought provoking and beautiful poem, with many wonderfully crafted questions, that will be relatable to everyone. I loved and enjoyed reading this. Amazing expressedā¤ā¤

  3. For getting answer to any of the questions :
Close the eyes, concentrate on the dark you see and try to search and find the ‘ Soul’!

Exploring life with Truth, Honesty, Sincerity, Forgiveness and Love, will be helpful to show your way!

  4. Very deep and beautiful! The fact that every single line was a question is incredible and the way you’ve pulled it off is the best thing about this poem. It’s not easy to do something like this because somewhere along the line you drift into a different direction but you’ve done it so gracefully. As usual, you bring emotions to life in such an amazing manner, Grace! So so happy to be reading and learning from you. Loved this ā¤ā¤
