Open Waters

A mirrored screen,
closed eyes could see,
of shadow scenes,
once formed by me.

Life’s lucid dream,
soon came to be,
my soul a beam,
of energy.

Drops of extremes,
locked inner keys,
imagined schemes,
stole inner peace.

Hurt heartbeats screamed,
in agony,
killed self-esteem,
brought apathy.

Blue becalmed seas,
cleared old debris,
instantly free,
reached clarity.

Held empathy,
helped spirit gleam,
shined brilliantly,
fully redeemed.

  1. Grace, your poem is an exquisite journey, unfolding with vivid imagery and profound emotion. The transformation from shadow scenes to a soul beam is beautifully captured. The evolution through imagined schemes to inner peace and, ultimately, to clarity is so impactful.
