Liberated Mindset

Judgements fall upon her skin,
numbness felt, needles and pins.
Relives tales of made up sins,
inner chains cause thoughts to spin.

Balance slips with everyday,
wonders why joys do not stay.
Never had the will to play,
still dodged bullets thrown her way.

Swallows tears to feed her heart,
motivation soon departs.
Every inch becomes too far,
each new step is stuck in tar.

Sweeps emotions from her gut,
inner light then clears this rut,
heals the deepest scars and cuts,
calls out powers she could trust.

Her life story swiftly forms,
then creates a brand new norm.
Secure love and self pride born,
to dance up passionate storms.

Brightness covers all she sees,
breaks the chains, flies high and free.
Takes in what she wants to be,
absorbs possibilities.
