Letting go

Full moon in September,
imagined orange light.
A translucent ember,
protects each autumn night.

Overhanging, wound clock,
keeps emotional keys.
Securely fastened lock,
protects all memories.

My breath keeps the sweet taste,
of yesterday’s honey.
Lingered echoes still trace,
blue skies, bright and sunny.

Crumbled paper made dreams,
burn to ashes and smoke.
To bask in blissful beams,
no one needs for death’s cloak.

Mixed emotions arise,
difficult to describe.
Unexpected demise,
lead to positive vibes.

Each day moving forward,
resets my inner clock.
Take steps moving towards,
my well-lit endless dock.
