Grandma’s Kitchen

Memories tucked far away,
of a rustic old cafe,
scented with cookies and milk,
essence as smooth as fine silk.

Tables all wear pretty lace
to enhance this fun-filled place,
people gathered up in crowds,
telling jokes while laughing loud.

Magic dust swept through the air,
lifting all unwanted cares,
every lost was at last found,
happiness flew all around.

Good times never seemed to cease,
spreading a love-filled disease,
while confessions snuggled tight
sheltered in love’s safe delight .

Many spent wonderful years
leaving no sins left to clear,
carried this favorite spot
as a dot within their heart.

Joyful thoughts forever near,
security shield from fears.
Relive times that act as guides,
so traditions coincide.

  1. Love the memories told beautifully in your verses. The last stanza is superb. Well done, Grace👌❤️

  2. Beautiful memories in one of the places where experiences and stories wrote the time with their presence and still remain latent with the grandmother in the heart.
    Nice to read you, Grace.
