Childish

I ran outside,
fell on my knees,
silently cried,
grabbed something sweet.

A lollipop soon eased my pain,
reminding me of simple days.
The childhood time I wish had stayed,
but in a blink, just flew away.

This tiny pop
served as a cure,
made my heart hop,
felt immature.

Allowed me a moment to play,
without adulting on my brain.
It made me dance, I laughed and swayed,
I played hopscotch in misty rain.

Happiness spread,
peace well obtained.
The pain soon fled,
while joy remained.

Falling became an even trade,
the discomfort was worth the gain.
Developing my own parade,
eliminates bruises and strain.
