U Turn

Facing myself,
and paths ahead.
Mask on a shelf,
old life is dead.

A brand new start,
begins right now.
To trust my heart,
becomes my vow.

Ran into change,
it crossed my way.
I felt so strange,
as ego swayed.

Warm breeze caressed,
my pale dull face.
I felt so blessed
with this embrace.

Where will I go?
What will life be?
Follow the flow,
that lives in me.

Finally free,
carry clear sight,
no guarantees,
but feel so bright.

  1. I was happy to reTweet this as a “straightforward, poetic consideration of change.” I think many should read this work of yours and appreciate it. And try it.

  2. Such a gorgeous piece and well done with the prompt Grace.

  3. This is what I personally call participating in the frontlines of reality. Nowhere is it more exciting, anxiety inducing and rewarding than when we take it all in as ourselves.

An unseen light begins to shine. And that draws many, many moths lol. Despite, it’s worth it.

    Thanks for sharing Grace β˜€οΈ

  6. Yeah, change is tough and scary. A good support network helps a lot, but in the end, we must do this ourselves and it can be frightening. No risk, no reward, right? Your encouraging words are always welcome, Grace. πŸ™‚
