Timber

Gallop like a prancer,
thirsty for a change,
search for a sound answer,
to this twisted game.

Listen to soft whispers,
carried by the breeze,
chant clear words of wisdom,
directed at me.

Old resentments fly free,
all lessons are prized,
Tired, lonely, sad tree,
thrilled from this surprise.

Fallen tears left behind,
as thunder and rain.
Greater stories will find,
adventures and gain.

No longer exhausted,
hydrated at last.
Happily supported,
all voids fill up fast.

  1. A restorative feel to your beautiful poetry Grace. Love all your verse.
    These resonated:
    “Fallen tears left behind,
    as thunder and rain.”

    “No longer exhausted,
    hydrated at last.

    – marvelous!!

  2. As the sun breaks through the clouds
and the flowers start to bloom,
    I am renewed and recharged,
    ready to face the room.

With hope in my heart and a spring in my step,
I dance through life with grace and pep.
No longer weighed down by the past,
I embrace the present and look forward to the future at last.

    So let’s gallop like prancers,
thrilled by the thrill of the chase.
With open hearts and open minds,
we’ll find our way to a better place.

  5. Soothing words and images. I especially like the second stanza (“soft whispers / carried by the breeze…”). Such a pleasant thought. Lovely stuff, my friend! 🙂
