Set Above

Shiny sky stitched with golden thread,
beam scattered gems as twilight spreads,
Sapphires glint, clear emeralds gleam,
infinite glow, a waking dream.

Dim topaz embers, softly burn,
warm amber hues silently turn,
above soft turquoise underlies,
radiant beauty shines up high.

No jeweler’s hand could craft so fine,
a tapestry made so divine,
each shimmer set by cosmic grace,
a tiara of boundless space.

Lift heavy head, inhale all in,
a crown of light, held deep within,
Heavenly blaze, makes dull hearts fly,
hope lays beneath a bejeweled sky.

  1. Your poem exalts the beauty of the cosmos not only as a visual wonder, but also as a spiritual refuge.

A pleasure to read, my friend Grace. 🤗🌼

    1. “but also as a spiritual refuge.” Even sitting at the back of the class, I still could hear you so loudly, and clearly. bravo!!

  2. “No jeweller’s hand could craft so fine,”. Sure not! Because artistic mastery of every other jewellers are fragments of that primal creative majesty. So, “No jeweller’s hand could craft so fine,” is so five star.

  3. Grace, I love your poem! Especially, how you create vivid imagery throughout. 😊🙌🏽
