Readjusted

Feeling so numb,
a little dumb,
never succumb,
my day will come.

Drew diagrams,
oh what a sham,
life flew off plan,
fears grew and ran.

Dreams became real,
for thieves to steal,
wore off my heels,
hope made me kneel.

Faith called a guide,
that lived inside,
love could not hide,
doubts drowned by pride.

Finally whole,
regained control,
the brightest soul,
rules my new mold.

This world then changed,
no longer strange,
thoughts rearranged,
Happiness gained.

  3. “…life flew off plan…” Oh boy, I really feel this line. Still, your poem is hopeful, as they always are, and maybe that’s enough. Nicely written, Grace. πŸ™‚
