A little girl navigates life,
while gaining tools to conquer strife,
learning great lessons everyday,
she gains new ones along the way.
When a harsh patch is driving near,
her inner guides always appear,
with strong gadgets within her shed,
their wise advice erase all dread.
Wipes away rough edges she meets,
saws off the tough parts, being sweet.
Some people can be tough as nails,
her hammer shines so ego sails.
Those dense as wood still see her light,
she sharpens minds with her insight.
Carves out sorrows, so peace can soothe,
sands sorrows down to make days smooth.
Vinegar soaks remove old rust,
true empathy inspires trust.
A smile could melt a solid heart,
torched by affection from the start.
Powerful gloves protect her hands,
sacred pure touch lets love expand.
Kindness and warmth flow through her core,
affects that link forever more.

Why canβt I always remember and trust this? Iβd like to hang this poem over my desk. Itβs so uplifting and cleansing like a good warm fragrant bath. πππ
Thatβs so nice to hear, Deb. Thank you so much. This truly put a big smile on my face. π
Wow, loved that, favorite part was “her hammer shines so ego sails” very powerful. I feel like I could do a full dissertation on this poem alone, lol, but I won’t, well, not in this reply :). But I will say, it brings to mind that a girl like this may not seem to be able to survive in the current world we live in, but this poem brings hope in that what the world perceives as weaknesses in all of these pure ways you highlighted are actually strengths and we need those reminders. Great poem!
I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it. Maybe this world would be a bit harsh for her, but she and her tools could probably handle it.ππ€£πThank you so much for your kind response. Truly appreciate it.π
Yes, she would!!! π You are so welcome!!!
