Persist

No lost love
where hearts once cared,
wishes shove
silently dare.

Wear kid gloves,
emotions spared.
Dreams adjust
then feel unfair.

Heart is caught,
in dark despair.
Fights all fought,
but linger there.

Future brought,
polluted air.
Reset thoughts,
fluff up dull hair.

Clear stained eyes,
erase the glare.
Warm sunrise,
with hopes and flare.

Raise soul high,
answers all prayers.
One more try,
heals and repairs.

  1. Grace, Grace, Grace…this is such a beautiful poem…it’s shining with your wisdom…I love it…it has its own beat ✨❤️💫

  2. “Reset thoughts,
    fluff up dull hair…”

These lines tickled me! So playful and descriptive, and so appropriate to the theme of the poem. 🙂

  3. So many emotions were captured beautifully. “Fights all fought but linger there” was my favourite line…whether you win or lose it lingers
