Moonlit Dinner

My chosen guest of honor,
for dinner and some drinks,
putting my hopes upon her,
darkness instantly fixed.

Her presence ever changing,
beginning with her face,
a perfect meal awaiting,
illuminating phase.

A night sky filled with beauty,
an awesome, clear, pure sight.
Attract her essence to me,
my heart detects her light.

Full moon emerges promptly,
proudly taking her place,
my soul welcomes her calmly,
tenderness laced with grace.

Communication opens,
filling me up with joy,
all words were sensed not spoken,
and essence well enjoyed.

Gathering every quarter,
resets my energy,
great guest and grand supporter,
magical synergy.

    1. Unfortunately it happened while at night here in N.C., so it wasn’t visible to us. But we did catch the Lunar eclipse a couple of weeks ago. It was gorgeous .💕

  1. Goodness, Grace, this is beautiful… The moon is so enigmatic and aloof sometimes, but she can be charming and loving as well. You really captured her personality in this one. So well done! *shakes head in awe* 🙂

  2. Wow, I really like this one, Grace! I love how deftly you’ve captured the emotion and essence of a lovely moonlit dinner. The usual rhythmic flow of your poems always fill me up with tranquility and this one was no exception!
