Insomnia hits, to steal my dreams,
grateful pure love is here with me.
Faithful companion, true best friend,
infinite bond could never end.
Walk in the dark with foggy views,
allow bright thoughts to chase off blues.
Try to sweep negative away,
smile as I watch your swift tail sway.
Gentle guardian, ride or die,
silent shadow always complies.
Affectionate, one of a kind,
intense stare eagerly reads minds.
Forever there to catch my falls,
eager to answer when I call,
hearts interlock, connection links,
rewarded by fetching a stick.
Beloved pets give what humans lack,
loyalty prevents rash attacks.
Clear up deep fears, help stress relax,
protect from every last attack.
Enjoy each moment we can play,
here by my side each night and day.
Embrace the love your spirit brings,
fills me with joy so my soul sings.

Wow we often don’t give our pets enough credit but they are loyal and helpful and a fantastic destressor I know I used to love my dog just plopping down on my feet after a walk we were both exhausted from like my guardian protecting my feet like they were my soul.
