Full moon covers September,
halos of imagined light.
Translucent crimson embers,
protects each autumn fogged night.
Menacing skies report threats,
debris falls to collect debts.
Mushroom clouds appear upset,
create views no eye forgets.
No one could ever ignore,
no one wins, no one keeps score.
If they knew what was in store,
would they listen to their core?
Crumbled papers, hopeful dreams,
burn to ashes and stained smoke.
Frustrations shield inner screams,
draped innocence meet death’s cloak.
Now the future stands in place,
regrets and shame interlace,
Tragic history embraced,
some scars will never erase.
Present times form future news,
try hard to preserve bright views.
Can some refrain from abuse,
learn to live without misuse?
As days smoothly move forward,
to reset each ticking clock,
open paths guide souls toward,
serene well-lit endless docks.

I worked in building one suite 8101 for over a year and decided to resign from my job a week before this tragic day. Thankfully all of my coworkers made it out safely, still my heart goes out to all of the victims and acquaintances that did not.πππ
