Gain

Ripping bandaids,
done sincerely,
only hurts
a little bit,
yet with lingered,
apprehension,
it will hold a
lasting sting.

Never laugh at
others tears
,
or those same tears
will find you,
feeling joy in
seing sorrow,
retribution
is your view.

Be the person
you want to see
passing by you
so carefree,
As you dance with
drowning feet
your heart drums
a different beat.

  1. Wow Grace! I know you may think at times my cheese has slid of my cracker, lol but I’m not crazy just passionate. In reading this, especially the first two stanza’s, my thoughts are that it needs to shouting it with a bullhorn in a public highly populated place. Another homerun!!!

  2. This has such a smooth feel and positive ending (“Be the person you want to see / passing by you so carefree…” And the band-aid part is so true! Ouch! 😀 Well done, Grace! 🙂

  3. Never laugh at
    others tears,
    or those same tears
    will find you,
Perfect advise to empathize not just sympathize, tears are deceivers, they can change eyes😊❤️❤️❤️

  4. Wow. That was so powerful and beautiful. “Be the person
    you want to see
passing by you” Exactly! Loved this piece, Grace😍❤
