Forgive

Sail through this dry desert,
thirsty for a change.
Try to reap from efforts,
hope joy is exchanged.

Search for a true answer,
to this twisted game.
Emotion enhancers,
love dissolves deep shame.

Listen to soft whispers,
carried by the breeze,
Chants sound like mild whimpers,
that sing songs of peace.

Release stale resentments,
follow pure advise.
Days bring great amendments,
wise lessons are prized.

Fallen tears light the flame,
bring thunder and rain,
absolve guilty past blames,
dissolve aches and pains.

Lips no longer feel parched,
hydrated at last.
Sail where life had once marched,
hollow voids fill fast.
