Deep Within

Proudly and tall, the blood moon shows,
warm dusky rose, the night bestows.
Sweet copper face, peacefully slow,
wears just a crown glistened by snow.

Time paints the sky, just past midnight,
a silver glow offers insight.
Soft single flame, so small, yet bright,
clings gently to the lunar light.

Old lantern rests on grassy ground,
its quiet gleam, the only sound.
Two distinct shines suddenly bound,
great mystery, no answers found.

Who left it there? Which tale will fly?
traveler lost? pre-planned surprise?
Natural wonder? kind and wise,
gift of delight where stillness lies.

Deeply inhale, hearts and minds spin,
euphoric hues, expand within,
painful bruises depart from chins,
through darkest times, prepare to win.

Dim shadowed sparkles heal deep scars,
soft candle flame, strong eclipsed star.
One guides the path from a worn jar,
the other bleeds both near and far.

This weeks prompt offered two picture options. This poem was inspired by both pictures. 💕

  1. Your poem invites contemplation, a search for answers, and ultimately offers a message of hope and healing, suggesting that even in the deepest darkness, there are sources of light and guidance that can help overcome pain and challenges. The combination of vivid imagery and unanswered questions creates a sense of wonder and a deep connection with the unknown.

Hugs from afar, my friend Grace. 🌟🤗
