Cyber Troll

Hide undercover,
a shadowed dark cape,
drapes the slumped body,
you try to escape.

Spew evil phrases,
if given a chance,
with hopes that victims
join your silly dance.

Repetitive words,
no substance at play.
Ride others coattails,
use people as prey.

Sorry, you feel bad
forced to hide your face.
Maybe one bright day,
your heart will find grace.

Till that day arrives,
eat sweet humble pie,
focus on yourself,
look within your eyes.

Find where you fall short
where ego can hide.
Then pick yourself up,
gain authentic pride.

The pain that you cause,
does not gleam your shine.
Try changing your ways
so you may feel fine.

Life offers balance,
each day and all night.
Listen to your soul,
let it twinkle bright.

  1. Such people have the power that you give them. There is a very real danger in treating online acquaintances as if they have the influence of real-life friends. Such status takes a long time to be won and is very easily withdrawn, I find – and that robs the malevolent of any influence.

  2. Excellent piece, dear Grace. I resonate with your words and I’m sure many in this community do too. This is such a perfect reminder of protecting one’s boundaries. Well done, dear friend 🤍🤗

  3. Maybe one bright day,
your heart will find grace… that day may not come, Grace! Cyber criminals are anathema to a civilised society. I’m happy that you raised this vital issue 👌💐❤️

  4. I certainly hope they listen to your words, Grace! So much effort put into stirring up trouble, if they would only use that for good! 💞💞💞
