Are humans ever satisfied?
Do they see souls in passersby?
If they see tears, do their hearts care?
Do they feel sparks within a stare?
Are all people inclined to lie?
To rectify their chosen side?
Does their ego need to be right?
Will it consume all of their light?

I will expand my inner light,
stand up for what I feel is right.
Try hard to understand all sides,
choosing my truth, detecting lies.
Provide warm love with every stare,
actions not words, to show I care.
Connect with strangers passing by,
expanding kindness satisfies.

  1. What a beautiful rhyme….the deep questions you ask through your lines…and then the reflection of your beautiful light…intense shine of your very divine πŸ’«πŸŒŸβœ¨

  2. Very relevant questions! Thought provoking verses! It’s an uplifting poem, Grace. Well pennedπŸ‘πŸ’πŸ’–

  3. I love this Grace! Yes, you are everything you said in the second half of your poem. I was just saying the other day, after someone waved at us as we drove by, hardly anyone waves at others any more. Between dark shaded windows, and cell phones, no one acknowledges anyone any more! Very sad.
Keep smiling and being who you are to others.

    1. Thank you so much , dear Dwight. I am so happy you liked it. You are so right, most people are often too distracted to acknowledge each other . Our best option is to spread love and lead by example. Much love to you.πŸ’•β€οΈπŸ’•
