Books consume her everyday,
wherever she goes they lay.
Drama, fable, fairytale,
magical adventures sail.
In the bathroom, on the bed,
visions cascade on her head.
Folklore, fiction, fantasy,
mental images hearts see.
Stories in the dining room,
imagination seeds bloom.
Mystery, mythology,
enthralling theology.
Cookbooks near the kitchen sink,
recipes within a blink.
Essays, poetry, short tales,
artistry made to prevail.
Collections rest in the den,
reads them all over again.
Horror, humor, history,
emotions cheer for glories.
On the mantle, fireplace,
offer a silent embrace.
Sci fi and biographies,
endless possibilities.

What a wonderful poem and photos! I can relate, having once been an avid reader of books mostly borrowed from the library in those days, only slowed now by eyesight and age. I smiled through the humour of your poem, amused with you too. 😁🤗💕✨
So glad you liked it. Thank you so much. Have you tried audio books. They are wonderful. I enjoy listening to some from time to time while doing housework.💕
Thanks for your comment and welcome suggestion. Yes, I have a few on my cell phone but I prefer the tactile touch of books though I have so many creative interests that pull me away. 😂🤗💕✨
Wonderful 💕💕💕
Were you in my house, Grace? Love the dance through the genres and rooms! Beautifully crafted 💞💞💞
🤣🤣🤣. Thanks so much, Dawn.💕
In his childhood home in Belfast, C. S. Lewis had books arranged like this. They were everywhere they could be stacked or otherwise placed. And his parents gave Lewis and his brother no restructions about what they could read. They read and played among the books and made up worlds. Your poem is both fun and meaningful regarding books and the (their) possibilities. You tend to have this combination in your work, fun and meaninful. I hope you and your family are really well.–Christopher
That sounds amazing, and comes as no surprise. Lewis was certainly a lover of literature!
Thanks so much for sharing, Christopher. Truly appreciate it. So happy you enjoyed this one. Hope you and yours are doing well too. Thanks again, my friend.💕
