Ambivalence

A pair of tears were shed one day.
Both crystal clear and on display.
As each tear dropped, one from each eye.
Midway they stopped, and wondered why?

They had to take two different paths,
one came from aches that seemed to drag.
The other came from happiness,
a self-proclaimed euphoric bliss.

When both combined senses increased,
the once confined was now released.
As purpose set, they could proceed,
intentions met, brought a great ease.

Emotions shed combined as one,
unity built, confusion gone.
The light and dark formed shades of gray,
providing hope through solemn days.

  1. Love your poem Grace brilliantly written. I love the last lines “The light and dark formed shades of gray,
providing hope through solemn days.” Somethings just aren’t easily fixed but we can always have hope! 💗

  2. This happens rarely when tears of joy and pain trickle down simultaneously. You have beautifully narrated this unique moment. Good one, Grace 👌💖
