Point of View

Negative thoughts hunt restless minds,
awaken pains buried inside.
Happiness falls so far behind,
life is perceived, souls pick a side.
A restless sleep wrestles all night,
dark foggy thoughts serve as a guide.
Peace runs away from this cold fight,
chaos takes aim as doubts kill pride.
Depression haunts all wise insight,
sorrows and anger are applied.
Hopelessness shades what once seemed bright,
removes pure hopes, joy, sheer delight.

Stands on a bridge to find delight,
attempts to focus on what’s bright.
Strong inner efforts are applied,
concentrates on profound insight.
Conquers hardships to regains pride,
realizes peace could defeat fights.
Allows spirit to truly guide,
can finally sleep through the night.
Launches himself to touch both sides,
dry ashes cascade far behind.
Feels positive ignite inside,
as serene bliss consumes his mind.
