Great Collector

Sealed comic books,
prized baseball cards,
collectors nook,
under his guard.

Old postal stamps,
valuable coins,
under bright lamps,
brought his heart joy.

Just one lost piece,
ruins the bunch,
removed his peace,
like a swift punch.

Searched ever high,
dug deep and low,
focused both eyes,
precisely slow.

Hung his head down,
stared at his feet,
right on the ground,
lost item greets.

All tension broke,
felt bliss compiled,
he grabbed a coke,
and wore a smile.

  1. My mom would have loved this one. She was a collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. This poem would have most certainly made her smile. Well done, Grace! 🙂

  2. A wonderful surprise. My husband is a big baseball card collector and trader. He’s recently started collecting the nespresso pods when they’re done. I’m like huh? I can’t wait to see what he does with them. People love their collections!

      1. They really are. I most certainly think nothing… 🤣 I recently too a pic of them when cleaning and said should we throw these out? He didn’t respond… I’m sure we’ll end up throwing them out but for sure I’ll keep you posted Grace.. 🤣🤗🥹🥹🥹😇

  3. Collector’s passion is amazing, always after every new and missing item. Well depicted, Grace 😊💖
