Contagious Glee

Will play the fool
to see you smirk.
Try to look cool,
act like a jerk.
Skip days of school,
call out from work.
Break petty rules,
create new quirks.

Will jump through hoops,
to make you smile.
Entertain groups,
resolve all trials.
Run endless loops,
infinite miles.
Serve ice cream scoops,
desserts will pile.

Will go great lengths
for your chuckle.
Prove such great strength,
crack my knuckles.
Fake my own death
without struggle.
Hold a deep breath
till I buckle.

Will do most things
to make you laugh.
Jump through flame rings,
on your behalf.
Let loud jokes fling,
humorous craft.
Make night stars bling,
let joys attach.

  1. what a fun poem Grace and I so remember the fun of jumping through hoops and now I’m happy for anything….. but… lol πŸ’–πŸ€£πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

  2. This makes me think of my husband and my son-both are always trying to make me laugh. I’m an easy laugh too as I find joy and humor in just about everything. Thanks for the fun, happy read.

  3. We need some laughs right about now. This is a silly poem in the best sense of the word. I’d like to see more goofy hi-jinx and less war, for starters. Thanks for putting a smile on my face today, Grace! πŸ™‚

  4. We sometimes tend to forget ourselves…ending up pleasing others than to look at our own happiness…laughing when not feeling like to laugh…that’s what I sense…perhaps, too philosophical 🧐…it’s all coz I like your poem, Grace πŸ’«β€οΈβœ¨

  5. This was such a delightful poem to read! An experience in itself! How wonderfully you have made just the right emotions come through to your audience!

    1. Happy you enjoyed it.I found this image on Pixabay and loved it but in all honesty, I have no idea were it was taken.🀣🀣🀣. I tried to find some information on it but didn’t have much luck.πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

      1. Ooh, so it’s a mystery. That’s fascinating. Hopefully someday we’ll figure out where this picture comes from, but your words are always going to be what I remember the best. Thanks again for a read that put a smile on my face after a long day.
