Coded Sunlight

In shadowed woods, the screen ignites,
a pixel smile in glowing lights.
Dark forest listens, soft, aware,
as data hums through midnight air.

The past returns in neon hue,
a retro dream made strange and new.
Lush moss reflects its gentle beam,
where nature sleeps inside a dream.

Then morning wakes on Venice’s shore,
the city hums, the waters roar.
Young lady turns, bright sunlight beams,
the world around her softly gleams.

She stands between what was and is,
the quiet code and morning’s kiss.
Two worlds apart, yet both the same,
each lit by wonder, thought, and flame.

This weeks prompt offered two picture options. This poem was inspired by both pictures. 💕

  1. Marvelous and brilliant. I love what you saw in both pictures and how you can so seamlessly blend their stories. I love this: “… a pixel smile in glowing lights.” Well done, as always Grace!
*And, Happy National Apple Day or, National Pumpkin Cheescake Day, as the case may be!

    1. Thanks a bunch, Suzette. So glad you enjoyed, my friend. Happy National Apple day to you too, I have never had Pumpkin Cheesecake but today offers a great excuse to try it. Have a beautiful and blessed day!💕

  2. Impressive. Beautiful.

The wonders of two worlds, each with its source of wonder, each with unique experiences it brings to the human race.

The line that got me smiling broadly:

    “Dark forest listens, soft, aware,
as data hums through midnight air.”… Iconic

  3. A very beautiful merging of both images in writing this beautiful story Grace. I love your poem. Thanks for joining in.
