Stay True

Piggy felt like a lame dud,
left to roll around in mud,
never fit, polished, or lean,
allergic to being clean.

One bright day piglet appeared,
with a gift of love so clear,
piggy vowed to change his ways,
so her warmth will someday blaze.

Traded muck for something new
serene water, clear and blue,
tempted hearts soon took a swim,
prayed his beloved joined him.

Looked around, inwardly smiled,
together peacefully mild,
both laughed and oinked so flirty,
played in puddles, got dirty.

      1. We adored her and it was a sad ending.. but she was a pig at the end of the day that loved to get into the cupboards and garden and root. She slept in the bottom of my bed near my feet for the first 6 months.. so cute then.💗
