Find Myself

A journey past where winds have blown,
each step I take, I must now own.
Distractions fade, ego has flown,
awareness travels through my bones.

A land as still as solid stone,
embrace my thoughts, my sacred zone.
Little old shack, beautiful throne,
holds so much more than what is shown.

A place to face every unknown,
to heal old pain, so tears are sewn.
The time is now, must not postpone,
answer my inner telephone.

A trip where guilts come to atone,
regrets all die, shame is outgrown.
All by myself, never alone,
reveals visions my soul has known.

  1. Hello, I loved this poem. Especially lines 11-12 on the third stanza!

“The time is now, must not postpone,
answer my inner telephone” (Estevez, 2022, lines 11-12).

    Love this!
