“Do well, but not better than me”,
the silent chants most cannot see,
comparing lives, to all degrees,
annoyed good luck helped you succeed.
Ignoring every sacrifice,
or when you followed sound advice,
you received while paying the price,
all prizes won, fair and precise.
Prefer to see your saddened eyes,
pitiful looks inflates their pride,
joys from your pain, are well disguised,
break from their chains, escape and fly.
Do not let others bring you down,
people will do what you allow,
embrace your best, hold your own crown,
replace the fake with the profound.
