Self Assured (Published at The Writers Club)

Searching outside for sparks of light,
try to transform wrongs into rights.
I give advice along with hugs,
yet deep inside the void still tugs.

Touching my mind like symphonies,
my heartstrings play a melody,
the sounds I hear distract my brain,
an endless tune fills me with gain.

Meeting myself, grasp self control.
I talk in silence to my soul,
deep down inside feels warm and bright,
high hopes embrace a flying kite.

Setting both feet on solid ground,
bask in clear truths that have been found,
Now those I meet have mirrored eyes,
reflect the gifts buried inside.
