Broken Hearted

Emotions are used as a prompt,
another way to play with hearts.
Do what you must to get your way,
chase away love before it strays.

Self sabotage when things go well,
find comforts within your thick shell.
Complain that kindness is a joke,
made up of mirrors laced with smoke.

Deep connections brought gifts of stings,
the coldest winters covet spring.
Great fear of loss force thoughts to sway,
relationships fall were tears lay.

Hardships could come for greater steps,
to move forward never expect.
Try to give joy another chance,
lessons are learned to then enhance.

Gesture

A drop of love,
can change a life,
sent from above,
to dissolve strife.

Swiftly travels,
through space and time,
to unravel,
powerful climbs.

Compassion grows,
deeply within,
heartfelt smiles show,
positive wins.

Fulfillment flies,
until it lands,
brightens blue skies,
kisses warm sand.

The smallest pinch,
is all it takes,
give just an inch,
joy will not break.

Reflect good will,
to all around,
affection spills,
harmony found.

Polished

Another day filled with dreams,
heartaches fight, one wins with screams,
shadows fill what hearts won’t hide,
emptiness crawls deep inside.

Solemn gulps brings bitter tears,
signs of hope convert to fears.
Inner panic soon consumes,
every thought leads to pure doom.

Step outside, resist sunshine,
set boundaries, draw the line.
Bask in pain to feel whats real,
watch as ego swiftly peels.

Flash above turns grim to light,
provides love, laced with insight.
Feel its warmth provide a chill,
take a breath as all stands still.

Gratitude comes to possess,
comfort slides to ease unrest.
Bright outcomes conquer the dark,
golden rays heat inner sparks.

Life can feel like a circus,
tribulations hit with purpose.
Allow emotions to show,
sorrow will dissolve then glow.

I was recently able to spend some time with Cindy’s new book “Celebrating Poetry”. To say it is amazing is an understatement. I am truly enjoying each poem and LOVE the “My Reflections” pages throughout the book. Great job, Cindy!!!!💕

Celebrating Poetry (companion for Cindy Georgakas‘s previous book, Re-Create & Celebrate) is truly captivating, an absolute must read. This poetry collection provides a wealth of valuable information that will help you transform your life for the better. The passion and feelings expressed in these pages gives tremendous insight into the mind, heart, and soul of the author. I highly recommend this book. 💕

Peace Offer

A single rose,
to mask all lies,
to boost your show,
to hush my cries.

A thorny stem,
a sign of truths,
a candid gem,
a pain that soothes.

A pretty rose,
will show you care,
will help fights blow,
will keep hearts there.

A real cliche,
that brings pure smiles,
that paves the way,
that reconciles.

A pretty rose,
can offer hope,
can brighten lows,
can balance slopes.

A warmer gift,
with scented lips,
with a sweet sniff,
with strength that grips.

False Illusion

Toxic positivity,
pushes happiness after loss,
ignores negativity,
pretend sorrows shine like gloss.

Make believe that all is well,
bad comes with a good reason,
hidden bruises will never swell,
false zeal cradles cold seasons.

Hold tears back, swallow all cries,
focus on the brighter side,
do your best or at least try,
blues and grays forever hide.

Feel a lump stuck in closed throat,
heavy heart makes feelings choke,
panic steals reasons to gloat,
suppressed thoughts cheerfully poke.

Knock so loud, no one is there,
trust emotions, really care,
shove true feelings till thoughts dare,
to accept what seems unfair.

Allow tears to escape eyes,
a pure heartbeat can not lie,
sometimes life can offer sighs,
lessons blow wisdom flies high.

Could it really be so bad?
to ignore what makes us sad?
At times ignorance can add,
room to force mad into glad.

Do whatever will work best,
to run, hop, or skip life’s test.
A deep breath, maybe some rest,
could provide warmth in your chest.

Sway

Everyday is born within,
tired eyes, create thick skin,
guilt bubbles absorb dark sins,
splashes of hope lift heavy chins.

A brighter day chases the old,
warm smiles melt hearts, frozen cold,
change of views help wounds unfold ,
adhesive scars grip to hold.

Choose today to make a mark,
bright dreams circle dread like sharks,
hopes ignite all hidden sparks,
pushes light deep into dark.

Time ahead moves head to feet,
as logic and feelings meet,
march to musical heartbeats,
while sitting still in your seat.

– Grace Y. Estevez – Reddy

Opened Eyes

Falling peacefully to sleep,
every step feels warm and sweet,
breaths are held profoundly deep,
physical takes a back seat.

Tight shut eyes do not feel hurt,
unaware hearts never burn.
Perception lays on loose dirt,
blissful times can have a turn.

Inner eye knows what will be,
without need for wants to seek.
Consciousness creates for me,
ego learns to turn a cheek.

Examine riddles and signs,
confirmations slowly chime.
Bubbles travel up smooth spine,
spirit creates space and time.

Scornful tongues lash to stitch scene,
sews “what is “with “what will be”.
Scrubs the canvas until clean,
souls create the world minds see.

Back in Place

Took a pause,
that ran too long,
fell off course,
distorted song.

A quick breath,
went on and on.
Endless length,
built a new dawn.

Missed you all,
glad to be back,
writing calls,
center unpacks.

Home sweet home,
return again.
Superdome,
words represent.

Mighty breeze,
clears away fog.
Inner peace,
help visions jog.

Time transcends,
stories transport.
WordPress friends,
greatest support.

Hello my wonderful WordPress friends!I am so happy to say that I am officially back! I have seen and learned so much over these past few months, it has been quite an experience. 💕😊💕 That being said, although I am back I will not be following my previous daily schedule. Instead I will be joining everyone
3-4 times per week. I am soooo looking forward to catching up with everyone. Truly missed you all. Much love and blessings to you and a belated Happy New Year!!! 💕💕💕

Persistence (Published at Spillwords)

Regret can choke
till hopes are dead.
Ego will poke
in doubtful heads.

Tears cloud clear eyes,
fill steps with dread,
absorb faith dry,
so fears can spread.

Take a deep breath
attempt to try,
going the length
helps wishes fly.

Drown out distress,
fling goals up high.
Embrace success,
intents comply.

Do not let fright
hold good dreams back.
Narrow down sights,
remain on track.

Grasp inner light
defend attacks.
Hearts shine so bright
erasing lack.

💕 UPDATE 💕

Hello my friends. Hope you are all doing well. I thought I would take a moment to update you on what’s been going on in my world. As most of you know, I took a hiatus from WP to work on a personal project. This project took much longer than I had anticipated, but it was completed by mid September (Just in time for my Birthday / Anniversary). I was SUPER excited to come back to my normal life with WP, unfortunately hurricane Helene had other plans for us. Hurricane Helene devastated WNC, thankfully there was only minor damage to our property, though we were trapped at home without electricity, internet, or water for about 5 days ( Talk about a memorable Birthday / Anniversary ). I am happy to say that the WNC community has made a speedy recovery though many people are still negatively affected as a result of Helene. I have also seen so many people pull together for a positive outcome. After so much work, I have decided to take the rest of December off and rejoin my WP family the first week of January. Happy Holidays and all the best to you all!!!! Miss you so very much!!! 💕

I leave you now with my most recent Spillwords publication. Thank you so much to Dagmara K., and the whole team at Spillwords for publishing this poem, and for all of their continued support. I would be so very grateful if you would go here, and like/comment as well. Thank you! 💕
