Perfect Spot

Army of trees,
highlight earth tones,
sway with the breeze,
magical zone.

Beautiful views,
nature’s brush strokes,
lavender hues,
fluffy clouds cloak.

Slight sunny beams
kiss mountain sides,
smooth honey dreams,
peacefully glide.

Warm serene air,
enhance bright skies,
wonderful flair,
soft misty rise.

Exquisite sight,
rich memory,
provides delight,
sweet reverie.

Street Art

Expressive view,
heart worn on sleeves,
forever true,
once eyes perceive.

Expressive hands,
paint what thoughts find,
most understand,
perplex some minds.

Expressive wall,
bright cherry red,
all issues fall,
cat purrs ahead.

Expressive craft,
grunge graffiti,
permanent draft,
enhance cities.

Me

I am the lessons I have learned,
the cool aloe that covers burns.
I am the songs I hear replay,
creator of my waking days.

I am the breeze that travels time,
made up of bright memory chimes.
I am the the start and end of life,
the strength that pulls through grief and strife.

I am loyal forever true,
an inner spice with peaceful hues.
I am of flaws and great mistakes,
decipher truths, discard the fake.

I am the one that gives a hand,
empathizing to understand.
I am present when life gets rough,
at times fragile but always tough.

I am a child, mother, wife, friend,
devoted love without an end.
I am a healer with insight,
guided by higher powered light.

Pass the Baton (Published at Spillwords)

A little girl born without flaws,
was raised to never ask for more.
Rules made by others were her law,
dissatisfaction filled her core.

She spent her days buried in books,
while multitasking as she cooked.
Felt success would someday be hooked,
but doubted she had what it took.

As days went by, she was annoyed,
felt like a doll or a stuffed toy.
made sure all duties were employed ,
but craved for ones she could enjoy.

Secretly chose to change her ways,
in hopes to build up better days,
knowing all things turn out okay,
she hoped strong will was here to stay.

The years flew by without a pause,
self assurance caught every fall.
Pursued her dreams, crumbled big walls,
independence helped her stand tall.

She kissed her daughter on her head,
while putting old customs to bed.
Knowing her strength will now be spread,
excited for what lays ahead.

Amusement

Life starts today,
smiles conquer frowns,
sorrows decay,
fears hit the ground.

Inner child plays,
merry go round,
nerves slip away,
wishes are found.

Wonderful place,
to stand up strong,
never disgraced,
always belong.

A little sign,
small spark of hope,
highlights a shines,
raises steep slopes.

Twinkles both eyes,
elevates faith,
stale thoughts revise,
spirit guides brain.

Gifts of insight,
pilots each gear,
forever bright,
endlessly clear.

Everyday

Dawn presents life with soft hues,
wash past scars, today is new,
a fresh chapter, dreams come true,
bright hopes clear fogged paled gauze views.

Milky clouds float up above,
wishes swoop to dance with doves,
warm winds kiss heads with pure love,
opens paths, gives hearts a shove.

Gifts of dusk deliver veils,
new found goals could never fail,
silver glitter highlight trails,
euphoric joys take full sail.

Moonlight covers deep night skies,
peaceful thoughts fill tired eyes,
past slips offer future rise,
watch as time swiftly flies high.

Signs of Hope

Release deep sighs,
as warm tears shed,
lanterns soon fly,
above her head.
Like butterflies
with wings widespread,
they flutter high
carry old dread.
Hopes touch the sky,
kill all pain dead,
then float on by,
call peace instead.
Sorrows run dry
pure bliss is read,
smiles kiss her eyes,
all sadness fled.
Deep in her mind,
soft whispers tread,
sweetest ally,
help problems shed.
A well lit guide
no start or end,
here to provide,
bright paths ahead.

Mom

Mother’s prayers, helps sorrows fall,
paints a bright path where dreams stand tall,
breaks barriers, unfastens chains,
warm kisses clears away deep pain.

Sweet intentions soon interweave,
soft lullabies helps hearts believe,
forms concrete goals wrapped in pure glee,
secures joy so bliss could fly free.

Mother’s love song oozes with peace,
protective force cause wants to cease,
her children’s smile always comes first,
will sacrifice to cure their thirst.

Smooth serene hum carries sheer love,
sugary hugs fit like a glove,
solid armor shields from cold storms,
sixth sense extends past any norm.

Mother’s message is always pure,
connection set to reassure,
guides towards positive outcomes,
cleans up the mess, picks up the crumbs.

Lyrical prayer sings sun shine,
a mother’s breath feels so divine,
infinite link, forever bound,
endless care planted so profound.

Love Song

Loyal nightingale
sings his song of light,
serenading tales,
to pilot her flight.

She feels his rhythm
synch to her heartbeat,
savory serum,
makes her trip complete.

Sweet lingering tones,
always guide her home,
never feels alone,
hug her as she roams.

One darkened evening,
as nerves shook and swayed,
hoarse voice was leaving,
deepest fears displayed.

Afraid she could never
fly a path so dim?
She let feelings drive her,
straight back home to him.

Rewinding his thoughts,
reviewing her face,
a true lesson taught,
one filled with pure grace.

Quickly embracing
then snuggling tight,
slowly exchanging
stories from that night.

“My ears could not hear,
my soul felt you near,
your song disappeared,
my path became clear,
I charged in full gear,
used love as a steer,
removed every fear,
instantly appeared.”

Happily relieved,
his full voice regained,
pure vibrations weaved,
true love song retained.
