Stare

Your eyes shout loud, with silent words,
making all logic seem absurd,
your clear message I have now heard.
fluttering by, like a sweet bird
.

Your eyes wear hidden, unseen smiles,
a mesmerizing, aloof style.
Lost hopes and thoughts create a pile,
I analyze you for a while.

Your eyes both carry a still dance,
guiding me swiftly into a trance,
forcing my will to take a chance,
I slip and fall hitting romance
.

Your eyes then make me feel at ease,
their light and wisdom turn my key,
angel wings unfold, expand free,
feathery dance within the breeze.

Your eyes give me my full control,
help me escape out of this mold,
feeling complete, finally whole,
soft lullabies play from our soul

Invite

Enter your dance,
a hidden trance.
Burn through my stance,
forming romance
.

A touch so deep
instantly seeps.
A flying leap,
finally reap
.

Peels through my skin,
I have no sin.
At last, I win,
a first-place pin.

No longer wrong,
always belong.
Love soaring strong,
sings a soft song.

The hidden clues
that led to you,
led to me too,
making us true
.

Unfold your wings
as my heart swings,
to you, I cling
as one we fling
.

Complete

Entwined in what I feel for you.
eyes swollen shut, forbidden fruit.

Expand the thoughts that you withdrew,
I know you well, feel your heart too
.

What should I do? no sign or cue,
go separate ways to live as two
?

If not this life then life turns blue,
swallow this thought as the main clue.

A painted frame, shiny and new.
we did not stall, instead, we grew.

Entangled wings with which we flew,
connections make emotions brew.

Filling our eyes with pretty views,
Strongest of bonds, adhesive glue.

Looked in your eye, instantly knew
forever mine, feeling so true
.

Cord

With your first breath,
you made me proud,
clutching my heart,
making it pound
.

You suckled your thumb,
I touched your ears.
Thanking above,
that you are here.

A toothless smile,
you wore all day.
Our world an isle,
embraced we swayed.

While teaching you,
I taught myself.
As candles blew,
we both excelled.

We both grew up,
reflective eyes.
We conquered humps
and always tried.

Still to this day,
pride makes me cry,
I release delays,
so you can fly
.

Withered

A withered rose to represent,
the tie that binds, damaged and bent.
Those times we spent, came to an end,
ran out of space, to make amends.

They got your ears, fed them with lies
you should have known me deep inside.
Unpleasant looks filled up your eyes,
did not defend, instead, I sighed.

A stranger’s face is what I seen
when I last saw you look at me.
Old days are lost, will never be,
for the best good, we both agree.

Let’s laugh at times from our past,
a youthful space with no contrast.
Imagined games, we wished could last,
enjoying life, having a blast.

Wish you the best, from dawn to dusk,
may we both find friends we can trust,
my life is good as it adjusts,
aged memories transform to dust
.

Unlovable

It is easy to love someone seen as good,
always understood,
one shared neighborhood.
Not so simple for those perceived as bad,
hard to understand,
all alone they must stand
.

Try to find a way to walk in their shoes,
breaking old abuse,
providing new views.
What if life was changed? What if they were you?
wishing help came through,
not knowing from who.

Standing within light surrounded by dark,
recognizing sparks,
being kind leaves marks.
Traced smile on their face, throw some joy their way,
watching as fears sway,
flying far away.

Anger soon subsides as pure hearts now guide,
love will challenge pride,
clearing paths once tried.
Forgiveness leads fate, release worn mistakes,
new days can create,
kindness can cure hate.

Empathy

A piece of me,
I share with you.
You come to me,
when I feel blue
.

I sympathize
,
with what you feel.
You feel for me,
so no big deal
.

Your problems bring

me such unrest.
Unrest now lifted
off my chest
.

Clear off my mind
,
from your affect.
Affects now gone,
cure my heart next
.

I cure your heart
,
easing your mind.
Your mind so pure,
a heart so kind
.

You look away
,
leave tearful eyes.
Eyes meet my glance,
then say good bye
.

Compose myself
not looking back.
Your empathy,
keeps me on track
.
