Bliss

Unhinge new paths
instantly.
Hold your dreams
consistently.
Nurture them
persistently.
All flourish
abundantly.
Follow feelings
abruptly.
Taking great leaps
faithfully.
Land on both feet
constantly.
Form utopia
vibrantly.
Watch as roads glow
brilliantly.
Always feeling
heavenly.
Positive grows
rapidly.
Joys fulfill
infinitely

Candle Therapy

Light a candle,
watch as it burns,
flame clears scandals,
as peace returns.

Bright shadows dance,
deep darkness sways,
as joys advance,
sorrows decay.

Intentions blow,
wishes to life,
a serene glow,
replaces strife.

Smoke absorbs cares,
trickles delight,
makes hearts aware,
provides insight.

Herb scented breeze,
perfumes the air,
relax in ease,
feel inner flare.

A sacred time,
made perfectly,
blissfulness chimes,
Infinitely.

Above and Beyond

Fling gratitude,
up in the air.
High altitude,
creates a flare.
A magnitude,
beyond compare.
Great amplitude,
to show I care.

So thankful for,
such kind support.
Faith opens doors,
goodwill transports.
Best wishes pour,
till doubts abort.
Light warms my core,
then forms a fort.

Pleased to have found,
loyal backing.
Look all around,
nothing lacking.
Listen to sounds,
of love clapping.
Hearts so profound,
hear wings flapping.

Ironic

Paradoxes in my head,
come alive, to slowly spread,
chuckle at slow thoughts that tread,
as I lay in my own bed.

Susan Seymour, has a lisp,
given name, makes her tongue slip,
so afraid letters will trip,
shyness holds a solid grip.

Mister Cooper teaches math,
but has trouble counting cash,
numbers scramble in a flash,
still he follows passions path.

Counselors need counseling,
need to cut off troubled strings,
clients bring problems that cling,
releasing, helps their hearts bling.

Optometrist with poor sight,
blurred vision does not seem right,
closes eyes to see the light,
glasses turn things clear and bright.

Irony that tell a tale,
twists that turn within a scale,
uniqueness, carries details,
while creating distinct sails.

Prompt – Uniqueness

Guest Of Honor

Mom visits with infinite love
warm sunny smile sent from above,
treats on hand, perfectly yummy,
gifts of warm hugs, sweet as honey.

Butterfly kisses on every head,
melts hungry hearts, with fresh baked bread.
lights up taste buds, joys start to fly,
brightens worn minds with apple pie.

Pure affection bakes deep inside,
wisdom crumbles, nurtures and guides,
all troubles fade, dissolves mistakes,
strong tight embrace, like homemade cake.

Put legos down, pick up the phone,
arrange a trip, excitement roams,
prepare the kids, hair set and combed,
happiness sings “grandma is home.”

Night Terrors

Wake up from a restful night,
complex vision blocks sun light,
heartbeat marches to pure fright,
giant monster in full sight.

Shadow view transforms to black,
blood pressure does jumping jacks,
equilibrium, out of wack,
beast growls loudly, windows crack.

Goosebumps come out for a peek,
cold sweat does not drip, it leaks,
both knees buckle, head feels weak,
paralysis feels so bleak.

Palms transform to water streams,
step outside, greeted by screams.
Try to breath, but inhale steam,
wake up from this frightful dream.

Open eyes then gasp for air,
chills raise follicles of hair,
pant away all tense despair,
back to sleep without a care.

Hues of Hope

He wakes up exhausted,
feels the same while in bed,
his world is distorted,
numbness laced with pure dread.

All moves feel so stagnant,
within his encaged thoughts,
dull memory fragments,
haunt false tales he once bought.

Disguising sorrowed tears,
wears a slight broken smile,
his attempts carry fears,
often seen as hostile.

Raindrops produce music,
that cascade on his head,
gifts of hopes that may stick,
to eventually spread.

Deeply stares at the sky,
till a rainbow appears,
aspirations run high,
as his dusty mind clears.

An empowering choice,
help him gain some control,
finding ways to rejoice,
swiftly brightens his soul.

Formation

Slightly past the edge of time,
inches from new beginnings,
ticking clocks no longer chime,
the vast world swiftly spinning.

A small spark touches the air,
brightens up the thirsty sky,
stardust flies up everywhere,
glowing as darkness shines high.

Sleepy eye with a slow blink,
opens wide to a full moon,
serves as a cemented link,
light and dark both dance in tune.

Swaying till brightness explodes,
giving life to new sun rays,
creates brightly open roads,
manifesting everyday.

Nature soon appears with ease,
the breeze swims within the rain,
misting every growing tree,
so that earth can self sustain.

Each being receives sweet gifts,
a new page to write a tale,
different species coexist,
all together setting sail.

Prompt – New Beginnings

Second Chance

In need of a break,
from all his past crimes.
Made many mistakes,
then served his full time.

Swallows inner fears,
gives life a new try,
hopes no one could hear,
deeply hidden cries.

Another door slams,
in front of his face,
obstructing all plans,
slowing down his pace.

His head in his hands,
broken and disgraced,
tries hard to withstand,
scars meant to be traced.

Arms up in the air,
forgive and forget.
Knows life is not fair,
heart beats with regret.

Attempts at repair,
by paying his debts,
suspicious eyes stare,
see him as a threat.

He gathers his will,
and strength to believe,
climbing steeper hills,
for those he made grieve.

Forgives his own spills,
sensing great relief.
Finds lights that fulfill,
goals he will achieve.

Expend

Sacrifice, at times feels okay,
but should not guide through every day.
Resentments will soon find their way,
at times they linger, to then stay.

Give to just give, but never take,
pure actions transform into fake.
Hear silent cries inwardly shout,
fulfill needs with no space for doubt.

Provide fully, then grant some more,
a selfless life or endless chore.
No one can give what they don’t have,
nothing to share or cut in half.

People will do, what one allows,
form boundaries then draw them out.
Take a firm stand, find inner voice,
all acts become free will and choice.

Search deep within, find the right words,
sing them out loud, so they are heard.
Centered so straight to take a stand,
let heartbeats dictate firm commands.

Expose true self, to feel secure,
self-acceptance, a perfect cure.
Confidence makes each footstep sure,
deeds ever clear, intentions pure.
