Shade

Colorful sun light,
kisses my head,
beautiful sight,
floats up ahead.

Soft musical sounds,
droplets form words,
deeply profound,
inwardly heard.

Emotions, once shut,
finally see,
bruises and cuts,
in everybody.

Wisdom offers truth,
wounds swiftly heal,
no need for proof
feel what is real.

Intricate design,
every heart owns,
forms a great life,
from what is known.

Bright umbrella love,
hug so tender,
covers above,
joyful splendor.

Matriarch

Many roles within one life,
swiftly chases buried strife,
always ignites inner thrive,
carries gifts of strength and drive.

Zestful acts fills every soul,
turns day dreams into firm goals,
feeds ambition, makes wants whole,
allows zeal to take control.

Smiles so bright, golden sun rays,
guides heartbeat to paint each day,
lightens dark, forms shades of gray,
dissolves profound fears away.

Resourceful, checks off her list,
powerful, hard to resist,
heals hurts with a simple kiss,
allows thoughts to co-exist.

Rolls both sleeves, wipes beads of sweat,
hard at work without regrets,
repays every single debt,
gives to all, till nothings left.

Ever pretty, never shy,
firmness exposed deep in eyes,
strong connection make bonds fly,
loyalty reaches the sky.

Grandma’s wisdom, always knows,
plants confidence, lets it grow,
teaches poise until it shows,
allows love to overflow.

Sweet jaded boy, are you okay?

I hope positive fills your days,

Has time rectified every wrong?
Did that white mask finally slip?
Did a pure smile land on your lips?

I pray your path is ever bright,

Bright Tomorrow

The pain that comes,
will somehow pass,
a cure for some,
happens so fast.
Slowly inhale,
take one last breath,
another fail,
led to hopes death.

Dark bloody stains,
dirty both hands,
life full of strain,
and tough demands.
So hard to show,
what is not there,
a forced fake smile
glows pure despair.

Rebuild your heart,
stitch with silk thread,
create a start,
release the dread.
Find happiness,
in the small things
watch as sadness
becomes extinct.

Take each day slow,
use baby steps,
each new reached goal,
leads to the next.
The fakest smile,
will become real,
as good times pile,
life gains appeal.

Ruby

A little girl got her first shoes,
opened the bag but felt confused.
She wished for ones like her mother’s,
but got ones worn by her brother.

Tough little girl as strong as nails,
had a strong will and dreams that scaled.
she often played outside with kids,
but could not run since her shoes slid.

This little girl, she had no clue,
her innocence hid what was true,
she lived within a paradigm,
people in need were seen as grime.

The little girl became so wise,
took every chance, studied design,
she grew up strong created plans,
to help herself and give a hand.

Bright little girl worked hard to share,
inside she always seemed to care.
Built charities at her own cost,
contributed silent support.

That little girl grew up concerned,
promised herself she would return.
Providing shoes, one of her deeds,
so kids could run, hope, and exceed.

Flip Around

I paint my life in shades of black,
to omit cracks left on my track.
So no one sees the pain I hide,
stuck deep inside, my solemn guide.

I add some white, my days turn gray,
balanced displays, hope peace could stay.
But still my thoughts are awful jokes,
made up of smoke, swallow and choke.

I play pretend add yellow hues,
it sticks like glue, changing my view.
It makes the path ahead feel right,
moments turn bright, even at night.

Mineral spirits thin the paint,
without complaints or self restraints.
Let all things go so time flies free,
turn inner key, to guarantee.

Fresh Perspective

Inhale salty ocean waves,
exhale sorrows, feel so brave,
focused views help minds behave,
goals set sail, gain what hearts crave.

A full breath deep thoughts take flight,
clear away anger and spite.
Self-made strength creates warm light,
inner depth makes it shine bright.

Sunny skies highlight the breeze,
serene hues carry great peace,
reach up high grasp wisdom keys,
third eye infinitely sees.
