Life’s Tale ( Published at The Writers Club)

Mystical stories fill the night,
an endless tale under the sky,
the greenest forest twinkles bright,
inspiring hopes so wishes fly.

A book that floats through in-betweens,
sprinkles of stardust become keys,
so powerful it goes unseen,
yet makes it so nature flies free.

Each page creates a better step,
that carries with it what comes next,
lingering past is cleared and swept,
rainbows of joy appear to flex.

Some chapters end, new ones arrive,
tears that condense pour rain and shine.
All characters become alive,
blooming while feeling so divine.

Battle ( Published at The Writers Club)

I wish that I could shield your pain,
absolve your loss and provide gain,
protect you from the hard cold rain,
assure that joy runs through your veins.

I wish my love could be your shield,
erase all ugly acts revealed,
improve the misfortunes you feel,
hug your dreams tight till they are real.

So sorry this world is a mess,
filled with sad loss and harsh distress,
your eyes are clear but carry stress,
the more you push, the more they press.

So sorry you feel insecure,
and that the future seems unsure,
with many struggles to endure,
your spirit still shines bright and pure.

Hold on to hope never let go,
so that your strength expands and grows,
a peaceful breeze will gently blow,
assuring blessings overflow.

Hold on to faith and live in truth,
let each new day enhance and soothe,
all bumpy roads will become smooth,
your journey will be what you choose.

Wishes

Never hold a wish too tight,
let it flow to reach new heights.
If it flies too far from sight,
precise timing was not right.

Keep your goals away from ears,
do not share till it is here,
to prevent another’s fears,
from applauding your failed tears.

Allow wants to have a say,
visualize them on most days,
not too much or they may sway,
be consistent so they stay.

Let hopes happen easily,
do not focus eagerly,
if your heart feels peacefully,
they will appear serenely.

It is fine to set dreams free,
let them fly within the breeze,
like the waves out in the sea,
they return if meant to be.

My poem Wishes, was published at Spillwords on June 1, 2021. In light of my recent nomination for Author of the Year by Spillwords Press, I have decided to re-share some of my previously published work. It has taken me years to find the courage to publish anything I have written, so you can only imagine what this nomination means to me. If you enjoy my poetry, I would really appreciate it if you could take a moment to vote for me. General Voting will be officially held from
1/26 (Thursday) – 1/31 (Tuesday) and will be conducted via this page: https://spillwords.com/vote/. Thank you so much for all of your support during these past two years. In that time, you have all inspired me to write over 1,450 poems. I am so grateful to this amazing WordPress community. 💕

I would also like to thank Dagmara K, and the whole team at Spillwords for the nominations and for publishing my poems/interviews. I truly appreciate their continued support. 💕

Compensate (Published at The Writer’s Club)

Always a pressing debt to pay,
a role to play,
great lines to say.

Small hidden little nook to fill,
swallow the pill,
strengthens all will.

Painted bright smile stains solemn face,
run in the race,
legs locked in place.

No one is ever quite enough,
weakness is tough,
life feels so rough.

“I love you” is another phrase,
to be conveyed,
so feelings sway.

First-place can never come in last,
it happens fast,
creates contrast.

A different day born with each dawn,
yesterday’s gone,
tomorrow drawn.

New beginnings chases the clouds,
Sun shine compounds,
light source is found.

Possibility (Published at The Writer’s Club)

What happened to humanity?
Did people lose their dignity?
Did hearts dissolve?
Did brains just freeze?
Did blindness reach infinity?

What if caring became a trend?
Will this bring all wars to an end?
Will we resolve?
Will anger cease?
Will we unitedly ascend?

What can we do to change this place?
Can one affect a stagnant space?
Can we evolve?
Can we see peace?
Can we smile bright and shine with grace?

If everyone finds inner light,
Conflicts will never lead to fights.
Problems will solve.
Hopes will increase.
Humanity can then unite
.

One (Published at The Writer’s Club)

Your fingers strum my feelings,
pressing down like piano keys,
every note forms a new tune
stroking thoughtless melodies.

Your mind an endless chess game,
strategizing every move,
fumbling through my deep thoughts,
provokes me to self-improve.

Your chest is my soft pillow
that provides protective warmth,
safety shield that offers peace,
molding my dreams as they form.

Your words all sound like music,
offer my ears sheer delight,
lyrics make my spirit wander,
unmask my eyes to insight.

My dull heart reaches the sky
while engaging with your soul,
floating swiftly like paired hawks,
for the first time feeling whole.

Our wants forever fulfilled,
a deep love that never hides,
Co-creating fated futures,
where our lives can coincide.

Candle Light (Published on Spillwords)

Light a candle,
then search the flame.
It takes a breath,
I do the same.

The fire dances
a rhythmic sway,
my body moves
in the same way.

The hot wax drips
along each side,
smile as tears drop,
from both my eyes.

Inhale all hope,
the light emits.
Energies guide
and soon transmit.

Clear and pure thoughts
are now evoked,
exhale all pain,
watch as it smokes.

Value (Published at The Writer’s Club)

You cover my mouth
I lower my eyes,
You fit with the crowd,
I hopelessly sigh.

I swallow so hard,
and walk very light.
You mingle off guard,
with nothing to hide.

You strut ever free,
a full better half.
My best friend is me,
I am all I have.

To know me better,
is my concrete plan.
Instant forgetter,
erased as you ran.

I take a deep breath
then slowly exhale,
A mouthful of depth,
takes life for a sail.

My head held up tall,
smile placed on my face,
I conquer it all,
with feet still in place.

The last deed to do,
clear traces of you.
Create better views,
so my dreams come true.

Undervalued pawn,
a role I once played.
Bright as early dawn,
great values displayed.

Thoughts (Published at Spillwords)

Today I will let it all ride,
no rhyme or reason kept inside.
Disgusted by how I see life,
the give and take is a big lie.
Built to just give but never take,
could never dare to expect breaks.
Some acts are sweet but also fake,
with rehearsed scenes for their own sake.
A pain filled heart is hardly heard,
unless some gossip can be stirred.
True love is seen as just absurd,
plastic emotions cover words.

Search deep inside to find the words,
my pity party seems absurd.
Release the pain my thoughts have stirred,
let tears cascade and cries be heard.
Learn to forgive for my own sake,
keep genuine, dismiss the fake.
Do not hold tight once the bonds break,
wishes appear for me to take.
The truth inside could never lie,
so well prepared to live this life.
In touch with how I feel inside,
hold on to light and take a ride.

Greed ( Published at The Writers Club)

Like a bear to warm sweet honey,
carrots swayed to tempt a bunny,
humans are hungry for money,
laugh it off, though far from funny.

Take every dare, snatch up the cash,
iIntegrity sold in a flash.
Watch all honor turn into ash,
all self-respect thrown to the trash.

Nothing satisfies all desires,
or fulfills the needs most require.
Vanity ignites flames and fires,
great treasures are just things acquired.

Those that choose to chase after wealth,
may find themselves feeling compelled,
to value riches over health,
till vitality is expelled.

Capital is another tool
used to create brilliant fools.
Ego flares with made up fuel,
push it aside so love can rule.
