Neutral

Uplifted to,
another realm.
My soul emerged,
my body fell
.

A journey though
a different place.
A simple scene
no time or space
.

No cold dark nights.
No warm bright days.
Such stable grounds,
in shades of gray
.

What happens here
is always fair.
No feelings of
unjust despair
.

No sticks or stones.
No wrong or right.
An equal zone
of pure delight
.

Wishes

Never hold a wish too tight,
let it flow to reach new heights.
If it flies too far from sight,
precise timing was not right.

Keep your goals away from ears,
do not share till it is here,
to prevent another’s fears,
from applauding your failed tears.

Allow wants to have a say,
visualize them on most days,
not too much or they may sway,
be consistent so they stay.

Let hopes happen easily,
do not focus eagerly,
if your heart feels peacefully,
they will appear serenely.

It is fine to set dreams free,
let them fly within the breeze,
like the waves out in the sea,
they return if meant to be
.

Angel

Composed of white light,
guardian of my dreams.
Protecting my nights,
while calming my screams.
Owner of my heart,
with abilities
to create fine art,
reliving each scene
.

He whines back the hour
in any wound clock,
then proves his powers,
destroying all locks.
To fix it again,
all effortlessly,
while clicking a pen
so consistently.

Teaches me to paint
a transparent smile,
releasing restraints
with genuine style.
He wears many wounds
from battles with life,
resembles the moon,
builds towers from strife.

Together we climb,
he sews me some wings
with silk thread and vines,
close our eyes and fling.
I learn how to fly,
secure by his side,
floating past the sky,
he cures me inside.

Own

Life is my fast horse,
I crackle the whip.
As it gallops by,
I feel the fresh wind.

Closing tired eyes,
my mouth running dry,
quench thirst with one bite,
feel my spirit rise
.

Enjoying the ride,
no need to steer it.
My soul as the guide,
our path is now lit.

Inner passion writes
my infinite tale.
Creating a life,
while raising the sail.

Caretaker

How can I measure your blank stare?
How can I know you are still there?
I will visit with your soul.
You can still maintain control.

How can I make you more aware?
How can I show how much I care?
Hold your hands try to connect.
Hope to comfort your unrest.

How can I prevent all despair?
How can this life be so unfair?
Cradle you and all your fears.
Seek to catch all fallen tears.

How can I make you want to share?
How can I make you try to dare?
Teach by sharing with you too.
Dare to hope wishes come true.

How can I remain so prepared?
How can I clear up the thick air?
Care for you every day.
Tend to myself the same way
.

Remembrance

A glowing spark
fills up the air.
I see your light
in every stare
.

Presence exudes
a stardust hue.
Droplets of you
create my view.

I search above
fluorescent stars,
to feel your wink
when you are far.

I see your smile
light up the sky.
A mystic ache
swells up my eyes.

A deep sorrow
stands in my throat.
You are now gone
I hold your coat.

Shadow my thoughts
I feel you near.
Never alone
this day each year
.

Love

A platypus fell deep in love,
with a fierce hawk flying above.
One day they met, a friendship set,
their heartbeats formed a great duet
.

The platypus was known as Jane,
her beloved hawk was once named Shane.
They played each day, under sun rays,
enjoying laughs when skies turned grey
.

As Jane exposed the love she felt,
Shane loved her too and promptly knelt.
Followed their hearts, right from the start,
they vowed to never be apart.

Some differences soon came to light,
Jane felt inadequate at sight.
She could not fly, lacking hawk eyes,
inside feeling her worth had died
.

Loud silence made Shane feel uptight,
he knew that something was not right.
He went for flights, promptly each night,
searching for ways to make Jane bright.

A new idea soon came to him,
to find out why Jane had turned dim.
He talked to her, nuzzled her fur
said they should become what they were.

Jane soon explained what she believed,
he smiled at her feeling relieved.

Do not feel shame, my life you changed,
enhancing it in unique ways.

The couple soon went back to peace,
as everyday their love increased.
Though not the same, they are twin flames,
eternal love they both proclaimed.

Self aware

Frustration grabs a hold of me.
It shakes me till I can not see.
While blocking off my clarity,
a forceful negativity.

Day dream of days when all was fine.
Realizing flaws were in my mind.
The things I longed for, I now have,
yet some how still attract contrast.

A voice in me scolds my dark side,
outlining why it should subside.

“Be grateful for the gifts you own,
and miracles you have been shown,
remember there is nothing owed,
mere bleak attempts to veer your road.”

Unbinding me, now feeling calm.
Unblinding hope, held in my palm.

I take a step to breathe deeply,
in efforts to release freely.
Regain my positivity,
bring myself back entirely.
