Journey though Time

It happened fast,
within a flash.
Sounds of a blast,
dimensions crash.

Traveled through space,
went back in time.
Feet still in place,
explosions chime.

Vibrate from rings,
as tears cascade.
Canonball flings,
like live grenades.

Shut both eyes tight,
pray to be home.
See colored lights,
memories roam.

Another life,
lived long ago,
with war and strife,
a fearful show.

Blinked once or twice,
then came right back.
Serene and nice,
all things intact.

A peaceful park,
structure holds pain.
Evokes heart sparks,
positive gain.

Fixed Instrument,
historic throne.
Mixed sentiments,
respect is shown.

Release and Allow

A prolonged time
that sailed along,
recites the lines
in a mute song.

Extended time
that held too tight,
ignores all signs,
hopes fly so bright.

Repeated time
revolves soft tunes,
twinkles that chime
form warm cocoon.

An evolved time
clears past mistakes,
heartaches soon shine
with needed breaks.

Infinite time
comes to abide,
frees restless minds,
so fate provides.

Pretty pebble thrown in the air,
left all alone, nobody cared.
Carried powers way deep inside,
unseen by all but the wise eye.

Young girl in search of some control,
all by herself took a long stroll.
Aims to fulfill, numbed voided spots,
that broke apart within her heart.

Finds a slight shine, within a rock,
for the first time feels inner sparks.
Keeps it safe, deep in her pocket,
perfect fit for her soul’s locket.

Instantly clears, all of her fears,
confidence steers when sorrows near.
Every cold tear transforms to cheers,
good times appear, she holds it dear.

Pretty pebble is loved at last,
never ignored, like in the past.
A special gift is brightly shared,
emits pure love, deletes despair.

Finds her own way, follows sun rays,
happiness lays, fulfills each day.
Good thoughts convey, outcomes amaze,
faith truly pays, joys come to stay.

Graceful pebble, secure young girl,
gifts to this world, the rarest pearl.
Connected fast, attached they curl,
united paths dance, gleam, and twirl.

Full Sight

Nature’s eyes create all scenes
Abstract acts, fall undeceived
Try to keep her nice and clean
Unpolluted not bereaved
Recycle for this fine queen
Excellence can be achieved

Agriculture should be green
Landscapes lush, carefully cleaved
Wonders forever foreseen
Always with love interweaved
You and I must intervene
So earth’s grief can be relieved

Serene views drive the machine
Everlasting life conceived
Effortless new found routines
Satisfy past stains, aggrieved

Response to Sadje’s picture prompt on What do you see #169 January 16, 2023

What is a song that goes unheard,
or poem without any words?
An echoed sound
that has no end,
a profound thought,
stuck in a pen.

What is a frame without the art,
or actor with no spoken part?
A cage secured
on every side,
a simple gig,
to feed false pride.

What is a film with no debut,
biographies from outer views?
Ways to be seen
worse than aloof,
a way to read,
another’s truth.

What is a life without a twists,
or opportunity when missed?
A day relived
with no enhance,
good lessons shown,
a second chance.

Thoughts for You

Sit by the lake, to get a break,
thoughts do not shake, hopes re awake.
Trees look so bare, feel the brisk air,
release my cares, wish all was fair.

Life made up new, built just by you,
intentions true, with open views.
Kiss filled with grace, placed on your face.
floats high in space, love is embraced.

All goals are reached, learn to then teach,
acceptance speech, no need to preach.
Live and let live release then give,
do not relive, instead forgive.

Expect the best, pass every test,
obtain each quest, greet days with zest.
Fulfill your soul, make yourself whole,
by letting go, obtain control.

Inner Whispers

Hum words with pictures,
set deep in her mind,
Colors turn intense,
as she paints her rhymes.

Rhymes open deep zones,
that flow on non-stop,
they carry mixed tones,
so smooth yet quite sharp.

Sharp shadows that dance
inside of her head,
link lyrics with tunes,
sewn tight with clear thread.

Thread made of blocked dreams,
that somehow feel real,
profound messages,
made of tarnished steel.

Steel polished stainless,
reflect pretty views,
finished so shiny,
yet still far from new.

New adventures loom,
with no start or end,
instantly expands,
to somehow extend.

Extends ever far,
blasts past time and space,
intricate designs,
with touches of grace.

Graceful tough lessons,
appear in great sums,
to sketch all portraits,
her silent words hum.

Change of Heart

Memories became triggers,
encountered thoughts all linger.
Worn visions were much bigger,
exhaustion killed her vigor.

Wished the past was retractive,
and future days attractive.
Her head always combative,
unfocused mind abstractive.

A provocative day dream,
muffles all loud inner screams.
Horizons of bright light beams,
form ambitions with pure gleam

Lost hopes dissolve gracefully,
delights appear gleefully.
Her heart dances playfully,
she ponders life joyfully.

Minds carry intelligence,
while fears provide hesitance.
Bring power to existence,
by giving faith precedence.

This knowledge was well confined,
miracles held deep inside.
Her soul a beautiful guide,
transformed small steps into strides.

Personal Quest

Foggy fall day,
leaves on display,
subtle self doubts
inwardly shout.

Every mistake
shook her awake.
Hope this season,
highlights reasons.

Is life a hoax?
mirage of smoke?
Is there a cure,
for the obscure?

Eyes seem so blind,
clues hard to find.
Truth in plain sight,
scared to be right.

All is her fault,
inward assault.
No one to blame,
or need for shame.

The real purpose,
for this circus?
A fun playground,
that spins around.

Never alone,
fulfillment shown,
Love acts are kind,
ease hearts and mind.

A balanced breeze
flows with great peace.
gained self-control,
twinkles her soul.

Unwanted guest
that stayed too long,
was here to steal
his favorite song.

It took his strength,
and then his hair,
he kept his smile
and rocked his chair.

It took his pride,
and made him shake,
he kept his wink,
and did not break.

It took his size,
and then his mind,
he kept his heart
and was still kind.

It took his hopes,
and then his life,
he kept his soul
and glowed so bright.

My children sing
his greatest song,
it lives in them
where it belongs.
