Point of View

Negative thoughts hunt restless minds,
awaken pains buried inside.
Happiness falls so far behind,
life is perceived, souls pick a side.
A restless sleep wrestles all night,
dark foggy thoughts serve as a guide.
Peace runs away from this cold fight,
chaos takes aim as doubts kill pride.
Depression haunts all wise insight,
sorrows and anger are applied.
Hopelessness shades what once seemed bright,
removes pure hopes, joy, sheer delight.

Stands on a bridge to find delight,
attempts to focus on what’s bright.
Strong inner efforts are applied,
concentrates on profound insight.
Conquers hardships to regains pride,
realizes peace could defeat fights.
Allows spirit to truly guide,
can finally sleep through the night.
Launches himself to touch both sides,
dry ashes cascade far behind.
Feels positive ignite inside,
as serene bliss consumes his mind.

Extraordinary

Is she special?
hard to explain,
she bites her lips
to feel the pain,
swallows tough words
she wants to say,
since her thoughts run
in unique ways.

She fakes bright smiles
like many do,
but unlike them
she remains true.
playing her part
forcing a laugh,
still keeps both eyes
on her own path.

Sometimes she falls
and has breakdowns,
but stands right up
to face the crowd,
she holds the weight
of many worlds,
while being seen
as a plain girl.

If cut she bleeds
like everyone,
but digs the seeds
until hurts gone,
after she leaves
her presence stays,
her soul always
brightens each day.

Mooove aside,
make some space,
wipe the shock look from your face,
my hips are wide,
but need a ride,
I mooove with pride,
watch as I stride.

Mooove along,
let me relax,
keep opinions on track.
No right or wrong,
my will is strong,
mooove to my song,
we all belong.

Winter’s Bloom

Warm sunny rays,
a touch of grace,
shimmery shine,
clearly divine.
Lavender winds,

with room to scope.

Beautiful views,

turns pain around,
erases frown.
helps hurt hearts heal,
till smiles are real.
kisses bowed heads,
so sorrows shed.

Chases bruised blues,
makes itself true,
brings golden dust,
to clear old rust.
It makes minds spin,
provides great wins,
sews holes right up,
bliss fills all cups.

Peace carries light,
that twinkles bright,
makes spirits fly,
way past the sky.
Lets all eyes see,
true joys flow free,
melts iced plateaus,
refuels each soul.

Mystical Mountain

Grand scenic cliffs hold great appeal,
tall mountain views seem so unreal.
Smooth serene feel,
where deep hurts heal,
truly ideal,
simply surreal.

Firm snowy footprints create trails,
beautiful dreams surely prevail.
Deep goals unveil,
wishes set sail,
sorrows exhaled,
deep joys inhaled.

Cobalt blue hues cover the sky,
euphoric visions make hearts fly.
Enchanting sight,
carries delight,
future looks bright,
life becomes right.

Finally home within these hills,
magical bliss enlaced with thrills.
Strengthens free will,
air feels tranquil,
peacefully still,
whimsical chills.

Chance Encounter

I watched her from afar,
her hair was made of gold,
it shined like a bright star,
and stole my hearts control.

He watched me from afar,
my hair was such a mess.
I tried to hide my scars,
strolled though I needed rest.

I fell under her spell,
her essence left a mark,
much more than a fine shell,
she held an inner spark.

I felt so insecure,
by what his eyes must see,
tried hard to feel assured,
let go and “let it be.”

At last, I took a step,
guided by destiny,
hoping she could be swept,
by my pure honesty.

My heartbeat seemed to grow,
as he slowly came near,
but with the first hello,
our souls traversed through years.

Flooded by memories,
of times that had stood still,
skipping through reveries,
climbing up steep dark hills.

While holding a tight stare,
all else soon disappeared,
nothing was ever there,
everything started here.

Knight and Armor

Beloved glove,
slips off your hand,
infinite love,
within me stands.

Be still my queen,
hear duties call,
slippery scene,
save your from fall.

Dry shrubbery ,
witness my flight,
pure bravery,
brings great delight.

Heart dances fast,
on frozen grounds,
cold ice so vast,
mitten is found.

Like evergreens,
stand strong and proud,
clear and serene,
forever vow.

Come run with me,
play in the snow,
aimless and free,
happiness flows.

Prompt - Aflutter

Love Is…

Love is a tiny speck,
that lights up puffy clouds,
awakens faith’s affects,
with a pure silent vow.
A paused drop of clear peace,
that cascades till it falls,
distant bells in the breeze,
that answer unheard calls.

Love will move deep inside,
and make hearts yearn for more,
intrusive event ride,
that clutches every core.
It lifts spirits up high,
until joy floats around,
then abruptly stops dry,
so all hopes hit the ground.

Love hurts, aches, also burns,
flows lava through frail veins,
as false illusions churn,
deceit laughs at the pain.
It flutters so quickly,
to reach destiny’s edge,
carries hearts back swiftly,
with an unspoken pledge.

Love is a lit ember,
flickers softly then fades,
drizzles chills and tremors,
melts into a tough stain.
Senses create fires,
that dissolve ingrained wit,
yet all drown in desires,
to return back to it.

Love is infinite light,
felt within every chest,
a soft touch that feels bright,
and withstand any test.
It’s the “maybe in time”,
that chases every goal,
preservation and climb,
that sprouts within each soul.

Love is felt through insight,
and at times can be seen,
it’s the dark and the light,
and the gray in between.
Eternally travels,
throughout the universe,
it lands and unravels,
to cure deep dire thirsts.

Perfect View

Lessons of love,
help worries sleep,
paint skies above,
vividly deep.
Winds whistle songs,
to ease deep dread,
flocks fly along.
float up ahead.

Resentments park,
as bygones flee,
light absorbs dark,
sparks shimmer glee.
Clementine view,
sets deep hopes free,
make the next move,
turns inner key.

Removes old blocks,
blesses wide eyes,
hopeful hearts lock,
true joy arrives.
Wishes are made,
elevate high,
deceptions fade,
trust pushes tries.

Wipe away tears
let sorrows go,
all future years,
will shine then glow.
Serene delight,
inwardly flows,
endlessly bright,
natural show.
