Blush

Slight glance through a door,
eager eyes explore,
a little bit more,
of nature’s true core.

A peek into life,
true beauty aligns,
perfectly divine,
flamboyant design.

Pink trees make their mark,
trickle cheerful sparks,
hopes glow in the dark,
priceless work of art.

Magically there,
dances in the air,
a mystical flare,
infinitely rare.

Deep doubts are exhaled,
sorrows soon take sail,
move past anchored fails,
pure peace is inhaled.

Positive thoughts form,
days that ease strong storms,
clear actions perform,
so hearts can feel warm.

Devoted

Strong little girl,
walks all alone,
shiny rare pearl,
kicks up loose stones.

Cute plushy pet,
her closest friend,
softness reflects,
power transcends.

Carries her toy,
great lion heart,
a gift of joy,
will soon impart.

The world she sees,
holds distinct views,
prays unity,
helps hate defuse.

Empathy tugs,
her giant soul,
she offers hugs,
bright warmth consoles.

Does what she can,
then helps some more,
love builds her plans,
to cure all wars.

Endlessly blessed,
her path is clear,
happy smiles spread,
and feel sincere.

Deep wishful thoughts,
forever kind,
sweet actions caught,
peace intertwines.

The Thing Is… (Published at Spillwords)

The little things that capture life,
snippets of songs, echo all night.
Some words can cut just like a knife,
yet those same words, can bring delight.

The smallest things at times grow big,
if no one ever handles it.
A strong green branch still carries twigs,
light sees the dark, while dark is lit.

The trivial things that haunt a mind,
can bring confusion and great strife.
A good heart may feel so unkind,
swallowing lessons throughout life.

The true things carried deep inside,
joys or sorrows, cause teary eyes.
A lie or truth that tries to hide,
is someday destined to arise.

The best things can come well disguised,
while in a growth test, hearts may cry,
yet that same heart may be surprised,
to learn it is prepared to fly.

The mistakes that at times feel right,
allow laughter to glow its shine,
so that the dull can become bright,
opposites dance until entwined.

One More Try

Just needs a break, for her past crimes,
heartfelt mistakes, have served their time.
Dark inner fears, prevent new tries,
no one could hear, loud hidden cries.

Open doors slam, before her face,
obstruct all plans, slow down swift pace.
Head in her hands, torn and disgraced,
tries to withstand, all hopes defaced.

Arms in the air, prays to forget,
life is not fair, swallows regret.
Searches for signs, to pay off debts,
fate soon aligns, to release threats.

Gathers free will, strength to believe,
climbs steeper hills, to heal held grief.
Bright lights fulfill, heartbeat perceives,
forgives past spills, instant relief.

New View

A thousand tears are shed and done.
A thousand ghosts swim in sad ponds.
A thousand dreams that slowly fade.
A thousand souls go on their way.

The wasted laughs that could have been.
The wasted time regretting sins.
The wasted anger filled with pride.
The wasted thoughts recalling lies.

Another sun chases the gray.
Another moon closing the day.
Another problem gets resolved.
Another question is dissolved.

A thousand wishes that came true.
A thousand joys have erased blues.
A thousand laughs flutter so high.
A thousand hopes set free to fly.

The gain in expecting the new.
The gain in finding brighter views.
The gain in trusting the mind’s eye.
The gain in knowing souls don’t die.

Another chance for joy to climb.
Another dance transcending time.
Another prance towards pure light.
Another glance makes life so bright.

Ever After

Am I alive?
Ran out of breath,
feelings arise,
off bony chest.
No inner voice.
fresh out of strength,
no free will choice,
or proven depth.

Is heart alive?
Not really sure,
each passing day
another chore.
All value gone,
skeletal face,
long for beyond,
stand stuck in place.

Are goals alive?
Daydreams all die,
cover both eyes,
salty tears hide.
Swallow dense pride,
hopes become sighs,
tomorrow lied,
future deprived.

Inside alive.
Pray for the best,
fears thrown aside,
withstand all tests.
Heal deep inside,
in peace mind rests,
let go and fly,
bright soul is blessed.

More than alive.
In a new world,
spirit arrives,
gives chance a whirl.
Passions derive,
as joys uncurl,
the urge to strive,
slowly unfurls.

Feel so alive.
Silent pulse beats,
warm inner light,
from crown to feet.
Glow ever bright,
at last complete,
profound insight,
presence discreet.

Maybe Someday

Raindrops wash off salty tears,
moonlit skies absorb deep fears.
Happiness fills hollow hearts,
stagnant sorrows soon depart.

Open eyes always find truth,
every day bring gifts of youth.
Judgments slip as poise stands tall,
perseverance captures falls.

Sweet words wrap innocent ears,
kindness guides stories they hear.
Lessons gained keep each day smart,
joyful times encourage starts.

Every encounter is true,
nature paints powerful views.
Up above, mottled sky page,
captures pain, troubles, numb rage.

Friendly voices answer calls,
life becomes a splendid ball.
Imaginations create,
shiny steps that lead to fate.

Bright rainbows glisten ahead,
chase away darkness and dread.
Obstacles instantly clear,
harmony guides future years.
