Childhood best friend
obscure to see,
known to extend
each time I flee.
Your soul depends
on me to be,
I make you bend
and crawl with me.

My growth is yours,
so is my speed.
You are my cure
for lonely needs.
You must endure,
my every deed.
Feeling secure,
always agree.

Partners in crime,
my closest peer,
with all my climbs,
sure to appear.
My silent mime
has no found fears,
here all the time,
throughout the years.

Each growing step
forced your follow.
Secrets we swept
tied tomorrows,
You must accept
options narrow.
My trust you kept
loyal shadow.

Inside Out

Thick stormy clouds control my mind.
The world I see feels so unkind.
Vile ugly acts spread great sorrows,
cracked concrete paths build tomorrow.

Tornadoes swirl my ringing ears,
sweeping my mind, releasing tears,
my heart and pulse quickly increase,
try to obtain some inner- peace.

Rain showers pour upon my head,
I wonder if kindness is dead.
Salted wounds hurt and make me scream,
wishing unjust was just a dream.

Bright rainbow views amaze my eyes,
I feel new hope inside arise.
Faithful wishes are now defined,
hope social change someday aligns.

Sun rays and lights dry off my tears,
warms up my heart, providing cheer.
Blue skies become brighter and clear,
people can grow, progress each year.

My inner thoughts project outside,
I grasp the universe inside.
Pure love can turn wrongs into rights
if everyone tries to unite.

Forsaken by your simple mind,
makes my life dance,

I wave goodbye.

Your selfish ways, simply unkind,
desperate to take

what others find.

I elevate so you can sigh,
all eyes are shut

or simply blind.

The games you play are well outlined,

until confined.

Entrapment with no reason why,
to entertain

your hidden side.

You like to laugh as others cry,
seeing through you
hurts me inside.

Unknowing all you chose to hide,
so glad that I

opened my eyes.

I hold my tongue, release all binds,
no wish for luck
or evil grind.

Our lives no longer intertwine,
not looking back,

the past reminds.

Instead, my heart chooses to fly,

under the sun,
feeling divine.

Dispose of all waste.
Garbage belongs in the trash.
Make room for the new.

Time will give the time I need
to enjoy life and feel complete
to supersede
with no defeat
I tap my feet as I proceed

Time will help me understand
why life did not follow my plan
I was not damned
It was a span
where some things slipped out of my hands

Time will ensure I succeed
my wishes will become concrete
all guaranteed
life will be sweet
every ambition will exceed

Time will make good luck expand
all “possible” transforms to “can”
fortune withstands
the dreams that ran
learn to receive so life is grand

Time will grow like planted seeds
lessons that pass will not repeat
finally freed
feeling upbeat
embracing life at lightning speed

Time will one day stop and stand
absorbing how it all began
a grain of sand
meets natures fan
letting today be where it land

Quivering green leaf.
Chilled by the cool passing breeze,
soon stands very still.

Unhinge new paths
Hold your dreams
Nurture them
All flourish
Follow feelings
Taking great leaps
Land on both feet
Form utopia
Watch as roads glow
Always feeling
Positive grows
Joys fulfill
