Liberated

The smile you wear within your eyes,
are just for show, a great disguise,
a display of what hides inside,
sad little girl forced to oblige.

The thoughts you carry of yourself,
only serves you and no one else.
A narcissist can make hearts melt,
until their slow poison is felt.

The hurt you caused me this last time,
shot me so hard, echoed and chimed.
It punctured bruises in my heart,
and made my decreased trust depart.

The things that I know now, I knew,
but still prayed that they were not true.
My confidant was always you,
with blindfolds on, I had no clue.

The connection we had was strong,
it served a purpose for so long,
fate had a reason, was not wrong,
but could not go further prolonged.

The day I see you walking by,
I wish to see your head held high,
hope you have light within your eyes,
waving hello to my goodbye.

Shrug

Army of daggers,
fly up in the air,
watch as they stagger,
no worries or cares.

Resilient heart,
hopes for an escape,
priceless piece of art,
keeps its solid shape.

Sharp words leave a sting,
watch from whom they come,
negative can cling,
on those who succumb.

To only accept,
pure positive light,
makes true self adept,
infinitely bright.

Prompt – Hope for

Scenery

For goodness sakes,
thoughts need break,
as despairs shake,
hopes re awake.

Peaceful brisk air,
releases cares,
feel so aware,
life becomes fair.

Mural built new,
sweet raccoon view,
surreally true,
cheerfulness grew.

Smile kisses face,
a state of grace,
delightful place,
sorrows erase.

Replenish

Eating from,
an empty plate,
pressing thumb,
carries great weight.
Standing dumb,
while chained to fate,
being numb,
helps her relate.

Feeding lies,
till they are true,
closing eyes,
till views are new.
Muting cries,
to cover blues,
breathing sighs,
as setbacks grew.

Walking miles,
on endless trails,
drowning while,
trying to sail.
Finding isle,
hopes can prevail,
forming smile,
as she exhales.

Healing past,
thoughts that repeat,
dancing fast,
to strong heartbeats.
Viewing blast,
makes life feel sweet,
Feeling vast,
clear, and complete.

Playful Climb

Day dreams end,
the next begins,
vision mend,
hearts and minds spin.
Every jump,
help hopes appease,
climb tight rope,
with graceful ease.
Joyful sway,
happily free,
lemurs play,
adrift in peace.
Time flies by,
bright spirits shine,
touch the sky,
feel so divine.

Hopeful Vision

Electric skies,
highlight shut eyes,
beautiful view.
mystical hues,

Moonbeam lit bridge,
a perfect hinge,
puffy clouds shine,
magic combines.

Joy turns the key,
senses fly free,
watch as stars blink,
flirtatious wink.

Guides from up above,
gift divine love.
Deep hopes come true,
in shades of blue.

Prompt – Shades of blue

Chewy Toy

Right from the start,
grasp every heart,
make them all pound,
love spreads around.

To relieve gums,
suck yummy thumb,
eat what is near,
even through tears.

Soft toothless smile,
sweetest warm style,
made each day bright,
heavenly sight.

Hurts pacify,
clears painful cries,
rubber soother,
makes life smoother.
